    73 318 will J heads work???

I run Jheads on my 318, milled, only because they were free. I personally would have went another route. The poster above doesn't have many problems due to the 3,800 stall converter, 3.91s and nitrous...so it kinda makes up for the low velocity and lack of compression in a non-milled j-head 318.

    318 build opinions please.

I have about $1200 in fully rebuilding my 318 (machine work to carb), that went 13.6 running 30.5" tall tires (it needs 26") and with a full weight ebody at about 3,550 with me in it. Did have about a 3,500 stall converter with 3.91s however Wouldn't take much to get it into 12s since it's...

    What Is A Respectable Time??

Me too! I absolutely do. Now i certainly have nothing remotely fast. however, it's gone 'this' fast...right here, on paper, known for a fact. Thats great someone can have a '500hp 350'...yea well he may be running street tires, cant drive it wortha crap and he gets spanked by something less...

thats alright ill just keep adding to my pile just fine. magnum/roller 360 and hair drier to build around. ;) just waitin to start working for BMW and ill get to building things a little faster. I'll be looking for a more all around street car, rather than just a drag car...thats street legal...

    What Is A Respectable Time??

Depends on the area, likely not gonna pull up next to a 9second camaro here. I don't think ive sat next to something that'd tear my car up out here in the year and a half ive been here. Not saying there arent 'fast' cars out here, just seem to be far between em

    What Is A Respectable Time??

no mention of a converter? i'd say low 14s as it sits...Low 13s? No. High 13s? Maybe, on the top of its game. 13.6 here with stock port j-heads, 9.7:1cr, eddie 650carb, .480lift/280*dur hyd cam, 3.91, 3500stall, headers, 29.5" tall slicks (wayy...way to tall). According to the dyno it was...

Results: My Dart vs 1969 Chevy Chevelle "396"

x2 i had about a years worth of smack talking with a guy i went to school with. it took him picking a track day where i had to work and 'couldnt make it' for him to go. every other day i was free, he wasn't. so he went with some mutual friends of ours that all knew i was high tailin it there...

    What Is A Respectable Time??

Kinda hard to say these days, depends on what you run into on the street. new stock mustangs will dip a high 13/low 14. There are some quick moving factory cars out there, its kinda borderline. Almost need the '12' atleast to raise an eyebrow these days.

    Exhaust Recommendations for my Setup

I currently have 3 options as far as exhaust goes on my car. I have only 'tracked' it with 3" turndowns right after the headers. I don't make it out to the track much, looking to see what my best bet is, according to the pros. 1) Summit headers, 3" TTI Turndowns after collectors 2) Summit...
