    Air Punch Flange Tool

I love them! But don't spend $1000 for a tool that you won't use all the time! I got mine new at a swapmeet from one of those tool vendors for around $60, it isn't Snapon quality but I have never had a problem with it. I also use weld thu primer on both side of the flange.

    Cost of Chrome Plating

Right around $800 for both. Unless they send them out to Mexico then it will be way cheaper and they will end up like a set of Craiger wheels.

    Thieves

The locks are very simple to replace, the hardest part will be taking the to pull off the door panels and vapor barrier. Get one (or 2 in my case) of these and I guarantee no one will make it in your house.

It looks cool and is pretty easy to do but you may start to miss the wing windows when driving.

    what welder for floorpans?

http://www.weldingtipsandtricks.com/index.html Alot of good reviews and how to's. My 225 Hobart 150 is great for everything, my 110 Miller 135 isn't the greatest, I love the Miller 140 autoset I use everyday at work but if I am working on sheetmetal I just gas weld it.

    Paint Stripping with a DA

If you don't want to deal with using up all your sand paper, dust, the mess of chemical strippers you can always get a box of razorblades and a flat scraper handle and goto town. Thats how we used to do it in the rod shop I worked at. We would take it down to primer with the razorblades then DA...

    smashed parrot nose

Quick welding hint, keep a few scrap pieces of brass in different shapes and sizes around. If you have a gap between your 2 pieces of metal or you are trying to fill holes put a piece of brass behind it and goto town. It will conduct the electricity but your weld wont stick to it, it will keep...

    smashed parrot nose

There isn't much you can do to the beak of the 73 and up cars other than replace all the front sheet metal with 72 and earlier parts unless your going to go full blown custom and start cutting and welding and if that is the case take a bunch of pics and post them!

    smashed parrot nose

Do what I did and just have a 17 year old girl modify it for you. It works great! :bootysha:

Not an Abody question but... (Dodge Truck)

There is also LMC Truck. I don't know what they want for a bumper but they usually have pretty good prices.

    Dag Nab It

Glad it worked for you! If it were me I would drill and tap the other 3 just so they all match, but I'm a weirdo like that :toothy10:

    Thieves! They're everywhere!

When I had my 73 camaro I went into the grocery store for only 10-15 mins, I came out and the grill and air cleaner lid were gone! Your going to be looking for a Scamp, Valiant or Duster for the headlight piece.

    Vinyl Top Care

NO!!!!! Armor all will actually dry out the material. It will make things like dash pads and vinyl top parts shiny and spiffy looking but they will get hard and crack after a while. The best thing I have found is the stuff used for shining and cleaning leather, vinyl, latex and rubber...

    Sheet metal?

If your going to be welding in the patches don't use galvanized! If your just going to pop rivet them in it will work. If you have an old door or fender laying around just rape it for the sheet metal and any bends that you can use.

    Help Aligning Doors

Loosen the bottom a little more than the top. I have always hated aligning door gaps but a paint stick is a pretty good gauge for doing it. Just think..."Bottom rear up = bottom front down. Use your hand as a diagram, hold your hand flat and tilt the back of your hand up and you will see what I...

    Lincoln Welder?

For the love of safety don't use that Home Depot special welder on frames or anything that has any support to anything! The smallest I would use on frames would be something like my Millermatic 135 and even that I would only use for crossmembers. A good all around welder is a Hobart 150 with a...

    Why doesn't my fender fit

I bought a NOS fender for a 73 camaro for 20 bucks once. I got it home and was all excited to put it on, I get it on the car and bolt it down and the whole fender was about 5 inches too far forward but all the bolt holes lined up just fine! Turns out that the factory messed up and were one spot...
