    Wiper Motor Doesn't Work

Clocking is on the switch plate and that determines the final park position of the wiper arms. A, B, C, etc.

2 speed to 3 speed wiper swap.

Shouldn't have to change any wiring, three speed motor, three speed switch and three speed crank arm, part number 2822272 for an A body, three speed nylon bushing, that's it, whalah converted :-)

https://www.passion4mopars.com/How-To-Bench-Test-A-3-Speed-Mopar-Wiper-Motor-Incl-Leece-NevilleGeneral-Industries-Motors_b_4.html I wouldn't recommend drilling a hole and adding a little oil. I'm making an assumption this is a three speed, but if it's a two speed, here's the bench test...

Confirmation on wiper switch and misc.

I can't read the numbers on the cylinder, boy I wish I could, maybe in my younger days LOL But it's a three speed/variable speed depending on the switch. If you have a three speed switch with three very distinct positions it'll operate as a three speed, if you have a variable speed switch, it...

Confirmation on wiper switch and misc.

Variable or three speed wiper motor with a two speed switch will give you high speed only and the motor will park only where you turn it off at. You get the same scenario if you have a two speed motor and a three speed switch. So you can get a very basic operation, HIGH speed and you'll get...

Confirmation on wiper switch and misc.

Since you're kind of mismatched there, I'd check the crank arm also and make sure you have a three speed/variable speed crank arm. It'd be a shame to get a good working switch and find out there's one more piece of the puzzle to solve and a two speed crank on a three speed motor can bind the...

    Which wiper switch???

Maybe this will help? Non Concealed, pretty obvious, wipers don't pull down into a concealed position like an E body, below the cowl line

    Wiper switch problem

http://www.passion4mopars.com/Testing-and-Wiring-a-3-Speed-Switch_b_46.html Many thanks to Jim at JSRestoration for that information on testing a switch. What's the motor doing when it's run through the switch?

    71 duster wiper motor

Correct, your low speed runs through the resistor, high speed does not
  12. Passion4Mopars

    Are these both wiper motors?

The haarness is attached to the motor on a three speed where on a two speed it mounts on the surface of the two speed. I'm not aware of any additional wiring kit that's necessary for the three speed. With any wiper motor, correct crank arm for the application and correct switch (2 speed/3...

Wipers Will Not Park: 1973 Duster

Have you tried to bench test the motor to see if it will park? If it parks on bench test THEN you know there's something else going on, switch ground or internal park switch on the motor http://www.passion4mopars.com/Bench-Test-Mopar-2-Speed-Wiper-Motors-Concealed-and-Nonconcealed_b_5.html

    wiper motor wiring

Hey Nick you can do that. What's the PN on the motor you're trying to use? Is the harness long enough to reach the bulkhead on the firewall? Just have to watch the color coding and how it wires into the bulkhead, got to make sure that the switch plate is clocked properly so that the arms park...

Ok for the park function let's try: On the back of the switch plate/gear housing cover/center where the three wires should be soldered to (two green to one contact, blue to the other contact), remove the 5 screws and turn the switch plate over. Ground it anywhere on the motor housing. Take the bolt out for the ballast resistor and ground it with that bolt. Put a ground wire with a ring terminal and reinstall the bolt. The bolt head is 5/16.

Wipers not returning to home position...

The switch itself is the determining factor if a motor operates as a variable speed or a three speed. They build the same, they test the same. I build on my bench using a 3 speed switch because it's what I mounted to my bench. If I ship that same motor to someone who has a variable speed...

Reverse side of the switch plate is my guess also. Watch the clock position so you can return the switch plate to the correct position. If you need some assist, shoot me an email :angel8:

    Wiper Switch question

I get alot of calls from people having to convert from 2 speed to 3 speed because of air grabber installations, oval air cleaners, multiple carbs, etc. because the two speed just will NOT allow the clearance to run certain combinations
