Update: I put in a sony bluetooth head unit and it is very much better in clarity and power. I am still running thru the infinity amp and 2 ohm infinity speakers but it is really a vast improvement over the factory head unit. I enjoy cranking it up now.

Put it back original as possible with the exception of bolt on parts like suspension and drivetrain. That way when you do go original you can bolt the missing originality back on there.. Dont destroy or modifiy original hardware or body panels that would permanently take away from the originality.

Yea the thing is, the engine is fully dressed. I am not pulling parts back off other than the carb. I'm going to make a bracket that attaches to 4 intake bolts, one on each corner.

Well, the performer has 8 bolt holes in the carb mount. I could run 8 grade 8s thru the plate. My primary concern is the manifold giving out in the carb mount area.

Amazon has many options for dc-dc converters in the adj output or fixed. Plenty for less than 30 bucks. For example a unit which can take 10 - 30 vdc and has ability to adjust output voltage to what you like and the output is stable.

What audio feed are you getting from the tablet? Headphones?

Id more likely invest 40 k into gold than stuff that no one will ever buy when the economy tanks.
