Has anyone used a wheel spacer to fill in the rear wells on a Duster?

If you have an all stock slant six Duster with stock wheels I would use 1" hub centric spacers on the rear. The screw on type, like an adapter but with the same bolt pattern both ways. 1" may not seem like much but it widens the track 2" and makes the car look better but still factory. Any more...

Quick question, '69 Valiant 4 door factory V8, small wheel bolt pattern or big?

Agreed, but disc brakes were optional on slant 6 cars and if so equipped it would get the big bolt pattern..

    Backspace difference?

A lot of confusion regarding width and backspace is caused by the fact that wheel width is measured inside the bead/tire mounting surface and backspace is measured at the outer most part of the wheel. Strange really.. A 5.5" wheel is almost 6.5" measured at the outer perimeters. One would think...

    5X4 15" model years

No cars were ever delivered with 15" wheels in the small (5x4") pattern. The only cars to use this bolt pattern were the A-bodies and they never got 15" wheels (on street cars anyway). The 15" SBP wheels you see on the market are either aftermarket or home made by putting A-body centers in 15"...

    What "color" black for steelies?

I usually powdercoat my steelies. That gives me the choice of 90, 60 or 30 shine. The 30 variety works great, it's somewhere between semi-gloss and flat. Kinda hard to show in pictures but I think it looks great. Has a shine to it but isn't shiny.. :-D

What size front tire will fit?

215/65-15 tires are pretty high for the front of an A-body. That would be like a 215/75-14.. What is often used when running 14" is a 205/70, that would be close to a 205/60-15. Since you have 7" rims I think I'd go 215/60.

    Different width rims

Assuming we are talking about rims for the car in your avatar pic and it has not been modified it will have the small 5x4" bolt pattern. Also assuming that the wheels you got from your brother has the right bolt pattern and are stock wheels, they came in two widths. Standard issue was 4.5"...

Quick question on tire size for 14x4.5 and 14x5.5 wheel

I would say that the 215/70 is a little wide for a 4.5" wheel. It will work but look a little wide for the rim. Both the 215/70 and 225/70 are a perfect fit on the 5.5" wheels.

    1965 Tires???? What was available??

They do make the correct Goodyear 6.95-14 Blue Streaks. Thats actually the only dimension available. They were not used on a lot of cars back then and with the very narrow market of dedicated enthusiasts running correct bias ply tires today they become kind of pricey.. But they do look AWESOME...

14" Steel small bolt pattern for 64 Dart

I love the 14x5,5" sbp wheels. They give you that kind of original look but is a great step up both in looks and handling compared to a narrow 13" wheel. The backspacing is the same as on the 4.5" version so they have that extra inch to the outside that brings the wheel out from underneath the...
