I would use circuit breaker and fuses instead of fusible link wires. I would also install the circuit breaker inline with the alternator not the battery. If you follow the EZ wire schematic the circuits will be protected.

I think 14 gauge would be find for that application and easier to work with.

According to schematic you have Fuse Box, Light Swt. and Ign Swt. tied together by gray wires near amp bypass to 2- 25amp fuses at distribution box. Is that what you meant to do? I would think they would be separate to distribution box.

Just use a jumper wire across the ballast resistor. I believe the wires are blue and brown. Make sure you use a good gauge wire, approx. 14-16 awg.

very interesting. most tests were performed at 1250rpm which may explain why output is low at a low idle.

If you wire it to your diagram it will be fine. Either resistor can be used( use 1 only). The MSD resistor will run a little hotter and give the coil more voltage. There is no polarity on a resistor, so just hook it up like the diagram. I hope this helps.

When you install msd6, sometimes you have to install diode inline with alt. fld wire or car will not shutoff due too the field being energized from msd. It happenned to my Corvette( also have 66 Cuda and 71 RR). Look at installation instructions and see if they recommend a diode for mopar...

I'm interested in doing this to my 66 Barracuda. Did you just splice the new relays wires into the old headlight wires, or run new wires form the relays to the headlight socket. If new wires, what gauge wire did you use?
