    jACK IT UP. PUT IT IT GEAR. SPIN ONE WHEEL IF THE OUTHER WHEEL TURNS THE OUTHER WAY ITS NOT A SHURE GRIP.EVEN IF ITS A WEEK SHURE GRIP IT WILL TURN THE SAME WAY.

    its a newly setup unit with new parts. i changed yokes afterword and dont want to screw it up i did not setup the unit.it hasent been run yet. I can manage the rotation torque measurement. thanks.any more tips i am all ears.

    You have to be smart enough to not drill the axcel flange.You dont have to drill it all the way out. and it is bad for the bearings to beat on them. especially green bearings.if they come out easy grate. if not its no problem drilling them. talk to any machine assembler and they say u do not...

    you may have to drill out the the old stud. so you dont have to beet the crap out of your axcel. take your time and center punch the stud so you stay centered.use a small drill first for a pilot hole then step up to a larger bit. also use a lubricant on the drill to keep it cool while your drilling

    i asembled a new process 4spd trans and discoverd the input shaft is not strait. it turns freely till its put in the bell housing. the pilot end is .150 offset. it is not bent. it has only .002 woble when turned. when i loosen the tailshaft bolts it will straiten out. any tips to help me figure...

    I said 2.5 and 3 not knowing the exact numbers. I have one with a 2.45. and one that had the 3.09 put in it.I was thinking the 2.45 wouldnt be low enough and the 3.09 would be a large jump from 1st to second. I wised i had the 2.66 one. I would be using it.

    Im puting together a streat and strip 69 barracuda with a 340 indy rhs x heads 3.91 25 or 6 inch tires and comp cam xe275hl cam. i have parts to build either the 2.5 or 3 to one first gear mopar 4 spd. whats the opinions out their on witch is best choice.

    I am putting together an a body 340 4spd with a medium cam and a rev limiter set around 6500. do i really need a scatter shield. I already have one but the more i look at it it really looks like it will be a pane in the ***.

    support the moter from under neath, use a block of wood and jack on the oil pan would work fine. just make sure its large enough so you don't bend it.

    i have a b body housing already cleaned por 15ed purches moved 75$ i can get it shortened for 100$ so 175$ total. i have no brake parts. I have lots of small bolt Axels. i believe Dakota brakes from an 8 1/4 will work if you want to start collecting parts.

    Converter stuck in cranksaft!

    i would try the converter in anouther crank shaft to determin whitch one is out of speck. if its the crank you wouldnt want to make the torq converter to small for any outher crank.if it fits good in anouther crank then work on your crank only
