the plug is near the the bulkhead I think maybe 8 or 10 inches long coming from the bulkhead or may it had its own grommet I cant remember but near there and went to the tranny my plug from 70 was not t shaped but more like the 2 outer lines on a W not quite parrallel

I have a 1970 dart that I just rewired with ez wire kit I I am going to use a dash mount ign switch for a 68 but its a after market replacement it has a spot on it for a ground wire does it need to be grounded

terminals p and k were melted together on the inside side of bulkhead

I would still try to jump the relay just to see if it bumps the starter

I had a similar pulsing and I changed the reg the alt and bypassed the amp gauge still nothing finally when I tore out my harness to do a wire kit I found that two wires were just slightly melted together on the interior side of the bulkhead connector .I cant remember exactly which 2 it was off...

could it be the neutral safety sw I think if u un plug it from the relay it will disable it .have you tried jumping with a screw driver at the relay

is it ok to connect my msd 6al to the alternator output rather than direct to the battery being that I have wire already going from alt to bat would save me rewiring and lengthening wires

rewiring my car and was wondering if the warning light is just connected to the park brake or does it get wired to the prop valve too. also what does the prop valve switch do .is it to let you know if there is a leak. if so do I even need to wire to the prop valve

I am in the process redoing the wiring harness in my dart and have finally found some of the right .312 female terminals so i don't have to splice to the plugs .i will have some extras if anyone is interested. If there is lots of interest i may order more. Thanks

when adding the relays should there be a fuse inline before the relay or after or is the bulkhead fuse for that circuit enough

is it a bad idea to run wires inside of some rubber hose . I ran a bunch of wires from fuse block inside a length hose (to protect it)to the front along the inside of the wheel well

I had same symptoms. after trying a couple of new alternators and regs I decided to do the wire harness.i found some wires melted together on the interior side of the bulkhead connector.not in it but close to it

if you dont mind modifying your wiring i used a couple universal ones on my dash i got them on ebay

i got the lights on ebay .they are one peice with the bezel attatched and a pig tail at the back . they were from rodpartsdealer on ebay

i think msd comes with 2 really light silver springs and 2 heavy silver springs along with the med blue.

i put a red brake indicator light on my dash even though i dont really need it .also the headlight switch i am using lets u eliminate the dimmer switch which i thought was nice

i am installing an ez wiring harness .after looking at it again its the alt charge wire and the oil sending wire that were melted together .i think terminal p and k on the inside bulkhead connector.should be all good now with new wires

this is what i think was wrong .i am in the process of putting in a new wire harness[aftermarket].and i found two wires slightly melted together right at the inside side of the bulkhead connector.i am not even sure this is where my problem was but it seems very possible to me.
