another wheel and tire fitment thread question

well like I said, my rear is stock, with stock small bolt axels, and no spacers, and 275's fit just fine as you can see. Ya, it could very well be your pinion snubber. Is it an adjustable one, or a stock one ? thats a great looking duster by the way !!!

another wheel and tire fitment thread question

I do not know that measurement off hand, but I have a stock 8 3/4 A body rear end. If both you guys have 3/8 to 1/2 inch of cleareance from the leaf springs, that should be plenty. Thats about what I have as well, but I have never had any rubbing. I would have to look else where for somthing...

    72 Duster Tire/Rim Size?

Backspace is the distance from the lug nut holes, to the edge of the rim. This is on the backside ( or inside) of the rim. I hope this makes sense. Anyway 4-1/4" to 4-1/2" is what should work for the front of your duster. Any wheel company will know what bacspace is, but be sure to tell them...

you can get them right from summit, or jegs. They are made by wheel vintiques, and also speciality wheel makes them as well. They also use the stock trim rings and centers.

    72 Duster Tire/Rim Size?

Yes, A 15 X 7 will fit on you duster as long as you have the correct backspace. I still have the small bolt pattern on my duster with 15 x 7 rallys, with a 4-1/4" backspace. I run 215X65X15 BFG tire. My rear rims are 15 X 8 rallys, with a 275-60-15 tire.

    wheel back spacing

I don't think you can get much more than 4 1/4 to maybe 4 1/2" of backspace, before your tires will be rubbing the leaf springs..

    Painting Steel Wheels

mount the tires on the rims but do not inflate them, keeping the tire beads off the rim. Then you can use sheet of plastic, and wrap the tire and tuck it in all the way around, between the tire and the rim, and your ready to paint. when paint is dry, remove plastic wrap, inflate tires, and they...

71 Duster rear wheel and tire combination help

looks great! ! It is amazing how much better 15 inch wheels look compared to the 14 inch wheels, as they really help fill up the wheel wells.

    Small bolt pattern wheels

Ya the choices are pretty limited, theres plain steelies, stock rallys (wheel vintiques 14 and 15 inch sizes), centerlines, crager SS, that are still being produced, after that your pretty much going to have to find decent used wheels, or like the others suggested a custom made wheel from a...

Will 15X8 rallyes fit my swinger??

I have 8" rallys on my duster with 275x60x15 BFGs , but dusters have more room in the wheel wells than darts, I'd have to say you'd be safer with a 7" rally

15 inch small bolt Rallye Wheels???????

heres the same wheels you just picked up, on my duster. 15X8 on the rear and 15X7 on the front. I love the look as they fill up the wheel well nicely, and still maintain a factory look. I never liked the look of 14 inch wheels on A bodys, as there to darn small.
