For years (we are talking back in the '70s here) there was a guy that had a similar 383 GTS in Maple Ridge that used for a daily driver, but it was a 4-speed triple black convert. I mentioned it in the rare a-body thread a while back.

So the survivor 340 shaker challenger didnt grab anyones attention? I thought that was pretty cool. I would think survivor/shaker cars are pretty thin on the ground.

I haven't seen it since the fire, but I have been out of the loop for a while, havent been active at Mission for about 8 yrs now. Was a pretty cool car, wasnt it?

Oh yea, another comment on Bill Vissers car. It had a torqueflite in it, not a pglide, Bruno or Lenco. Probably one of the fastest TF cars since the time they stopped using them in funny cars around 1970.

I dont have any pics of my cars, I'd have to go up to my dads and take pics of them. Not much to see, unless you wanna see pics of a scruffy white duster with no engine in it & the front clip off, no wheels on it sitting on blocks. I only have the one a-body, the rest are one b-body, two brand x...

I was pretty tired, was gonna take another look at them this morning, totally forgot! Baby was FREAKING, same again tonight, Shes screaming her head off right now. Cranky...

First time I have tried tp post pics on here. 1) triple black '68 Dart 383 GTS in the spectator lot at the Maple Ridge Auto swap meet, late nineties 2) '68 Cuda notch at Fathers day in the park in Mission, I'm thinking maybe...

    Good guy alert

picked up the 273 rockers/pushrods/shafts I bought from Crackedback, everything is in good shape as advertised, well packaged, & he was easy to deal with, in spite of a miscue on my part. Would buy from him again, no doubts at all. Thanks Crackedback. Good to know there are some good...

    Help me indentify this...Please...

Pretty sure thats the battery cover from the rear mount battery kit in the early '70s. Pre-Direct Connection.

Duster guys- what year do you have?

I've had a '70 since 1981, when it left the factory it was a B-5 340 auto,3.23's. Rally dash, console, buckets, ps, pdb, rally wheels, black stripes, luxo-cruiser. when I last had it on the road in the eighties, it was a ratty refrigerator white 440/tf street racer with skinny centerlines/black...

Not a Mopar Rookie, But WTH was a Cricket?

Just stumbled across some info on the Cricket totally by accident. Turns out it was a re-badged Hillman Avenger!

Not a Mopar Rookie, But WTH was a Cricket?

There was on advertised in the For sale section in Hot Rod back in the '70s with a 340 & 8 3/4. Basically a Plymouth Colt. but I dont think they made 2 drs.

    Yea for me

A few years back a buddy of mine took his driver to Fathers day in the park in Mission. Go-Mango '70 duster, factory 318 car,all gussied up with stripes go-wing & 340 six-pack/727. Wasnt even gonna enter ( he has a "real" 340/stick '70 at home), but decided to so he wouldn't have to walk from...

    Would you sell-out? E-Body for an A-body?

I'd take the e-body. And the pieces for the Duster are 360, home-ported iron heads that flow around [email protected], (yea, I'd LOVE a set of W-2s, if they were free) big solid(well, most guys would probably consider it big, I dont) 8" converter, yadayadayada. & Personally I would NEVER stick a '71...

    Would you sell-out? E-Body for an A-body?

Would I trade my '70 Duster project car for an equivalent '70 cuda?? Ummm, well maybe, yes probably. That having been said, do I see many e-bodies at shows and so on that give me wood? No. A typical restored Tor-red e-body with hockey sticks, go-wing rally wheels and a shaker makes me yawn. Now...

    Anyone have/use a Power Probe 3?

If there is any aspect of working on vehicles I have always TOTALLY SUCKED at, its diagnosing electrical. I never thought I'd say this, but I think I need a power probe.

    360 oil pans

Are used center sump stockers really tough to find? I was gonna snag one & deepen it myself, but if they are hard to find, I might just bite the bullet & buy a new Moroso. I lost the stocker off my 360. gave it to a friend of mine to deepen it when I was in my teens, He never finished doing it.

Not Mopar but still sad to me...

Pontiacs havent really been Pontiacs for a long time anyway. far as I'm concerned, once they went to "corporate" (that means chevy) powerplants,They werent Pontiacs anymore anyway.

    71duster stand-up guy

Just wanted to comment on 71duster from Alberta. He had posted that he had a manual steering box & valve covers for sale, among other stuff. I had made him an offer. After we had agreed on the price, he took a look at it, and realized it was damaged. He pmed me back & told me that the steering...

    Getting hit on the highway

VERY scary story. An asshole like that SHOULD lose his licence for a year or so, then we would have a LOT fewer of these sorts of "accidents" out there.Notice the quotation marks around accident. We call a LOT of things accidents that dont really fit the definition. An accident is a sudden &...

    Your Opinion...RARE.....

The Cudas & Darts (even the real ones) are not that rare as Mopars go. Another car I almost bought was a '66 Coronet 300, 383 4-speed, QQ1. I contacted Chrysler historic about that car, 1 of 3. But it was pretty much just a shell, too much resto needed for my tastes.
