    Door jam switch

Sorry, just finished my coffee and figured out you have the opposite problem. Just spent 30 minutes looking through parts catalogs and they all look like 3/8" to me. The only one I found that looked like it might work was a single wire. Could you post a pic of what you took out for reference? It...

Is 67 Dart windscreen trim different to 68 and later

You're quite right, the '68 up trim was different. The '67 trim was the plastic strip with the 4 corners and that particular setup was a one year only thing. When new it looked OK and didn't leak but after about 6 months the plastic shrunk enough to allow water leaks around the windshield. The...

    Missing parts mystery.

If the wiper knob will push in a bit, you have an electric washer wiper switch. Methinks you should have a foot pump since I don't see the washer motor wire that comes out of the harness running along the top of the inner fender. Looks to me like a PO replaced a frozen/broken remote mirror with...

    removing door locks?

I use a screwdriver and a pair of needle nose pliers. Bump the clip far enough with the screwdriver to grab it with the needle noses.

Door won't latch on my '62 Valiant

You are going to need an impact driver to tighten the screws on the latch after you adjust it. You can't get them tight enough with a regular screw driver to keep them from moving. I adjusted the latches on my '66 Valiant and didn't use one. The doors worked fine for a while and then I hit a pot...

    passenger window help

If you remove the window regulator, you will have enough room to slide the new glass in from the top. Then work the glass up into the channel from the bottom and tape it down to hold it so you can reinstall the regulator. Make sure you get all the broken glass out of the door or the door will...

Do the under hood braces stiffen up your A-body?

They were added so the front end could take a 5 MPH whack from the cowcatcher bumper without crinkling the inner fenders too badly.

Temporary paintjob on dart swinger - matte grey?

I've had cars that stayed in gray primer for years. Kinda grows on you. No worries about parking lot dings and scrapes. Way better than letting it rust.

    Can you remove this easily?

You can get rid of it but good luck finding the parts. You will need the windows and regulators, all the inner trim and panels, outer trim, window felts, seals, etc. Then you have to find someone who will cut all the plug crap out and redo the window channel. Won't be easy or cheap.

Hole above GT emblem on door

That's for access to the screw that holds the bottom of the vent window frame in place. The hole usually has a plastic plug in it.

Inner fender splash shields. They should be available from the dealer for a price. If you don't want to go that route, I've made them out of roofing tar paper. They only last a year or two, but hey, tar paper is cheap.

Where did you buy New Door Striker pegs & door hinges?

I've seen the hinge pin kits and strikers in the HELP section at local auto parts stores. If you don't want to rebuild your hinges, search eBay for seller rehrenberg. He has new hinges for around 30 bucks.

    Stripping Paint / Stripping Rust

Worked in a restoration shop for a couple of years and we used chemical stripper and a Hotsy to strip cars. I could strip a Packard in around 6 hours. Sanding the paint off does too much damage to the sheet metal no matter how careful you are. Think wavy quarters.

    So What you're saying is.....

Pretty much. The '67 trim was a one year only deal that was made of cheap plastic and would shrink to uselessness within a year. Then you were left to deal with the leaks until you got rid of the car. Dad drilled a bunch of 3/8" holes in the floor of our '67 Valiant to let the water out. You can...

Make 72 back end into 69??

The parts will physically swap, but why bother? Most people will think it's a Nova anyway, so they'll believe you if you leave it alone and tell them it's a '69. :toothy10:

    4 Speed Hump fitment?

Yes and no. Went through this with a '66 Valiant. You have to do a bunch of cutting and fitting to the hump and when you are done you have to get creative with the floor. Do yourself a favor and get a hump for an early A. Brewer's makes a fiberglass version that works just fine and you can sell...

    What are these from?(fenders)

You can see the pigtail for the marker light in the top pic. '69s didn't use lights, they were reflectors. Those fenders will bolt right on a '72.

    Vin question

God created strippers in large numbers so some of them could survive and provide parts to restore the desirable models. If I were looking at your car to purchase, you would get more cash and respect if I heard "Yeah, it was really rusted out bad but I cut out all the rust and replaced it with...
