RHS LA X heads and 3/8 pushrods

Hi Engine builders, Looking for the guys that have experience with using 3/8 pushrods in the RHS X heads. I am using the PRW 1.6 stainless rockers with valve lift right at about 605 lift. At max lift the clearance on the exhaust side is minimal .003. The intake pushrod hole comes up further to...

    340 block Registry?

I have a couple 340 motors. I was curious if there is a Forum/registry to list block casting #'s. To help reunite these motors with the possible owner of the car that the engine has been missing. This would be very beneficial to the owner of these cars. The one I just rebulit is LM23P9B116070...

    RHS head valve train??

sounds like beehive springs would be cheaper than new rockers. I looked up my paper work on these and the springs were good to 570 lift. not sure of installed height or pressures. I would like to run a solid lift cam close to the 570-580 that Brian has reccomended in other forums. Any...

    RHS head valve train??

Hi Guys, I am looking for helpful information on good rockers for these heads. I have a set of 1.6 ratio PRW rockers. There seems to be a big problem with clearances. I talked to one fellow and he said almost all the RHS heads are going to create the need to dremel clearance on the rocker gear...

    W-2 valves

When you find them let us know. I am looking for a set or at least one 1.60 exhaust valve. 3/8. I scored 16 exhaust guides (water cooled) at the Carlisle show this year. What a score. I had one that was leaking caused by a bent valve.

    replacing cam bearings?

Hey, that works. Seems very clever. I got a tool from my local Ford guy tonight. It seems Ford cam bearings are different sizes. It had 10-12 presses in it, but none the right size. It was a real old set in a wooden box. I have a good friend tonight that is going to hook me up with a real Mopar...

    replacing cam bearings?

So I went to the local advanced auto parts, they don't rent the tool. I went to my local chivy machine shop. $30.00 plus bearings and rear cap for $2.00. Great that is cheap enough. He says bring him the bare block? I said why. He says you can not line up the oiling hole with the hole in the...

    replacing cam bearings?

Well I have a 318 with a few miles on it and I wanted to warm it up with a new cam, lifters, timing chain, and 4 barrel manifold. When I pulled the old cam out the 2nd to last bearing had broke down a bit and was losing some of its shelac or coating? So I feel I should be replacing the bearings...

    10 sec. 318?

The car was just super stock springs with adjustable snubber and sub frame connecters. All steel, no glass. just rear seats removed and battery moved to the trunk to lighten it up. Ohh and some pretty light wheels. The bottom end is a 318 forged steel crank, stock rods(polished beams and...

You will be under $4000. Then buy a 100 shot N.O.S and your where you need to be for $4500. Ramcharger posted...

    318 with a 4.00 stroke crank

Hi Mike, Do you know if he had any clearance problems with the valves or rods? That is impressive power for an old 318 block. I wonder how many racers sent them to the boneyard thinking they would never be any kind of performance engine. I would love to see a Magazine do a build-up on a 318...

Sounds like a perfect match to the O.O.T.B R.H.S heads that Brian and Indy have been working on with the 1.94 intake valve. what you think Moper, or is there still too much shrouding for those as well. I would love to here some Dyno results on the few cats that done these already.

    318 with a 4.00 stroke crank

I have heard of a few members building this motor. I was thinking last night, What the bob weight would be on this combo. It has to be light, lighter than the 340 and 360's right? If you are using good quality lightened Pistons and Rods. These things should fly... I would love to hear what...

    W-2 exhaust guide

This is the dilemma, I figured I would come to. By the time I buy new springs and retainers. I will be very close to the cost of those new RHS heads you are selling, (although I don't think they will make the H.P. these W-2's will) but would be more street friendly. Your in line to price what...
