Go Dana 60 and spend more time racing then wrenching.I added a billet yoke and a chromemoly shaft with 1350 U joints also.Its been 3 years and close to a 1000 hard passes without any issue.You,ll be dollars and time ahead.JMO

Need more info on your setup...engine,t.convertor,gears,tire size.Also what your using for suspension..springs,shocks.Weight transfer plays a big part with launches.

I wired my fan and water pump drive with switches,so I can control my temps.I also swapped to a 80 amp alternator at the start of the 2015 season.I think your right that your setup is drawing too much power with that small output alternator.I would go bigger.JMO

As you said..you haven,t had the car out in awhile.I would check fuel filter for any debris/dirt from sitting,then check carb bowls.Good luck.

Sorry to hear Flyfish.Do you feel motivated enough to pull the Trans. pan? I just replaced my converter and oil pan gasket (go figure:D)It would drive me nuts not knowing what happened.Hope it's an inexpensive fix and you can finish out the season.Best of luck.

I had similar issues with my 60fts and ET,usually 1.44-1.46 60fts then the start of season 1.52-1.56 WTF? Was wondering if it was my new 10.5X29.5 slicks.I decided to remove my Trans pan for inspection and found metal shavings on my filter and in my pan.I took pics and showed my Trans builder...

Make sure you get the bracket that holds the cable at left rear of Trans.I don,t think my shifter kit came with one and had to order.

I also just replaced my Coan after 6 yrs with many passes(1500+) and numerous changes to my car..mainly suspension,rear.I called them to order new and they still had my engine/Trans/rear gear specs on file.With new info they built me a new convertor to my new specs(8 inch 4500 stall).Now my car...

Just looking at the way that thing is built,I would,nt have bought 3 of them let alone put it in my car.:wack:

Those are for rear.To the original poster,I,ve use QA-1 12 way adj and also Calverts 9 way.I prefer the QA-1 over the Calverts(personal opinion).
