Just finished installing a solid street roller in my 340. It is a Comp street roller.I am using a Hughes Engines cam bolt and washer. When i tighten the cam bolt, I have no endplay.If i put a spacer between the cam and cam washer,then tighten the cam i have endplay.I think the cam snout might...

I am getting ready to install the cam on my 340. There are 4 bolts that go to the cam thrust plate. One of the bolts has a hole in it. I am not sure where that one is suppose to be.The other ones are solid. Thanks for your help. Jim

I am running a solid lifter cam in my 340 Demon.I am going to put a Comp Cams street roller in the car. I would like to know if the present cam bearings are ok to use with the roller or do i need specific cam bearings to use with the roller cam? The cam an XR286R. Thanks.

The torque for a small block is 16 ft lbs according to Haynes manual. The small block bolts are 5/16 in diameter. I believe big block bolts are 3/8 dia. If it is a small block torque spec is 16 ft lbs according to Haynes manual. Big block is 30 ft lbs. Replacement bolts i would imagine...
