race to pump gas mix and converter stall?

Check "pure-gas.org", for ethanol free fuel in your area. You may pay a little more for it, than say 10% ethanol gasoline, but may well be worth it! Here in Michigan, there are countless "pure gas" stations, due to the amount of water we have here (think Marine gas).

Thinking of ditching the 90 degree oil filter adapter on 360

Maybe this thread could help others. Sticky maybe? I know I did a lot of searching for the parts needed to remove the 90 degree adapter and change over to the remote set-up. This thread has all the Info I needed. A big thanks to all who chimed in on this thread!

    Intake fitment?

I'm not sure who makes them, but there are "thin" intake gaskets available for re-worked heads. I recieved a pair from a member on here, OU812 (Brian @ IMM engines).

Need help w/ 273 has issues

You stated that the carb is a NEW Edlebrock 500 cfm carb, correct? How about something simple, like the choke idle speed being set too low? What RPM's is it idling @ when first started, cold/choke on, VS. idle speed fully warmed up/choke off?

need some help with selecting cylinder head Mopar 408

I've seen others on here recommend Edlebrocks and Indy/RHS X-heads for similar builds. I bought a pair of Indy/RHS X-heads prepped by IMM engines, for a 340 build i am doing. Hopefully others will chime in with more info for you. Steve~

    67 Cuda 273 replacement options

You can do a budget build on a 340/360, and get lots more horsepower than our old 273's ever made. I've got almost 7K into my 340, and everything is new except the block and crank. I would find a reputable machine shop that knows Mopar. Don't skimp on the machine work. Hope this helps.

    Mickey Thompson Valve Covers

If all 3 leak in the same places, it could be the valve covers/heads. Valve covers could be bent in those areas.

Which heads to run on 340

Listen to what Brian (0U812) posted above. He knows what he's talking about in regards to the Indy/RHS heads. I bought a set from him, with the PRW roller rockers kit. Although I'm still in the mock-up/clearance checking phase, these heads with the beehive springs and the 1.6:1 roller rockers...

    Carb Questions..HELP!

I could be very wrong, but I am pretty sure you could use a 750 Holley for your 340. I'm sure those with more facts will chime in.

    shaft mount rocker spacing??

From what I read on other posts, add/subtract shims & spacers to center the roller tip on the valve. Also read that .010"-.015" clearance between each pair of rocker arms. Hope this helps, in conjunction with what others above have posted.

Do you have a 90 degree oil filter adapter? Some of them get cracks and will leak. Tends to leak directly onto the passenger side exhaust, down by the trans.
