We used to put Delo 15/40 in our Allison B500's before they came out with Transynd(TES-295). Now I put Transynd in everything.

There should be enough spline on those axles for some trimming.

It takes four 3/8 16 and two 7/16 14 bolts around 1 1/2" in length.

^You're giving away a secret. In my experiance a D44 is plenty strong. Thank the 4x4 crowd. You have more options and parts availability than most other axles.

I'm only aware of two 727 output lengths. Regular with a slip yoke which could be considered long compared to a 904, and short with either a hog nose or no extension housing at all. I'd say you have the right one.

Cover over the hub and you can tow nearly forever that way.
