    I have a 383 -496 stroker Here is a dyno with 2 runs Green run is with a single plane intake Blue run is with an edelbrock RPM dual plane intake The torque was incredible with the dual plane but the single plane had more in the top end at the drags. Cheers Dave

    You want your front uni joint on the tailshaft less than 2 degrees but not zero. So put in your trans cross member and lower the engine till you get the right angle on your driveshaft. Dave

    FIXED :D After checking and double checking everything a million times Replaced the new coil with an old one out of the drag car Fired straight up. I also increased idle a couple of turns before starting and then backed it off after it started. Hope this helps. Dave http://youtu.be/GlRFRgkSWNo

    I used a 440 source external oil pump with a miloden pan and single pickup on my 383-496 stroker. I use an engine plate instead of mounts though. I think it would still fit with mounts. Hope the pic helps Dave

    I love my 383 -496 I'm just changing my pistons over to the flat tops for more compression I could only get a 11.4@118 out of the 9.8 compression, with stock stealth heads. Good luck with your build.

    I have a comp cams 23-713-9 cam in my 383-496 stroker with stealth heads. I am using the Comp dual springs, locks and retainers. I had to clearance the heads a fair bit for the pushrods to clear. Cheers Dave
