    not mine 65 GT craigslist

Way to much $$$ in my opinion. It amazes me the prices people ask especially for the four door cars. Craigslist for most part has the same cars always posted that never sell. The good deals are gone fast but still pop up from time to time.

Hot Rod Drag Weekend out West!

I know there is some stupid fast cars that are running the normal Hot Rod drag week. It also sold out in like 16 minutes for 350 participant spots. Be interesting to see how the west coast verison does. They have a comp eliminator type class for the more average type street strip cars I believe.

Hot Rod Drag Weekend out West!

Haven't been around here much, or working on, or even driving the car either. Was on Facebook the other night and saw a post from Hot Rod editor David Freiburger. "Breaking news: HOT ROD Drag Weekend is coming! A simplified version of Drag Week. October 29-31, Tucson to Phoenix to...

Has the "patina" trend caught on here yet?

It would look bad *** driving down the road painted or not. Unfortunately most cars get taken apart for paint and/or restoration and never get finished. Must people under estimate the cost and amount of work required for the projects to get finished and as a result they never get finished.

Has the "patina" trend caught on here yet?

The VW section is actually one of my favorites to browse through at the west coast largest auto swap meet held near by me in Pomona, CA. I'm note sure if it's the cars or young ladies though!

Has the "patina" trend caught on here yet?

I haven't gone to any great lengths to preserve patina on my Dart. It is an original paint car and gets mix reviews, 50% percent say don't touch it they dig it like is and the other 50% say just needs paint and it would be nice lol...

    Shop payments?

Probably a bad idea! It's not unusual for body shops to stroke us along on our classics as it is. Best way to deal with a body shop is an agreed price and time line. Then just know both will be double before you're finished if you're lucky.

Found Out Some Info on my Car, Now Im Torn!!!

For me I guess it would depend on how much of the car is original. If you didn't know it was a Commando I'm guessing it's probably missing the key components. I'd build it how you want it unless it's a 4 speed.

2014 Las Vegas MATS picture thread

Great pictures HawaiiDuster! That little Gold Dart if it's the one that was for sell was pretty cool. Slant 6 with a manual trans on the floor. Just something a little different from the norm.

2014 Las Vegas MATS picture thread

Here is a few teasers that I took with my phone just to get the thread started. So feel free to add pictures. I found a set of 15X10 steel wheels in the swap meet, they were cheaper than I could have built them, so they came home with me. Other than that it was just a quick one day trip for me...

I made the June 2014 Mopar Muscle Magazine

Cool Barracuda, reminds me of the late 70's and cars around my area when I was a kid. Nice big tires on the rear and a hole in the hood! Hows that run with the blower? Looks like it might be underdriven with that big pulley up top.

    1968 Dart question....

Starting to make a little more sense now that it wasn't a simple straight trade. I don't know where the value of $68,000 came from. Seems high as a quick search found them in poor to average condition from $1,000 to $5,000 probably likely about the same value of the Dart. Dan's story...

    1968 Dart question....

I hate it when a thread derails and nobody answers the original question. :D Anyways, the 68 Dart came with the slant 6, 273, 318, 340, 383, and 426 Hemi engines. As far as I know the four door model only came with the first three engines listed (non high performance) with the 318 being the...

    1968 Dart question....

I'm not sure I understand all the details of the trade or the process. Regardless I'm getting the impression you may think the 1968 four door Dart may be worth a significant amount of money. I think it's important to point out it's not a very desirable car being a four door model. It may...

    1968 Dart question....

Look this is just my opinion but REALLY! Your going to try and unwind a trade your dad did before he died! Why? The tractor might be worth more than the car running or not. I just don't understand this thinking, I'll stop before saying something stupid. :banghead: They are cool tractors!
