“Numbers Matching”?

The car is all original!
The car has been fully restored!

I don't give sellers much room on this LIE. Since there ARE NO NUMBERS I already know that they can't know whether it's "numbers matching" or not. Because I know that THEY, while making the claim, did not see such numbers.

Quick follow-up, in case anyone cares or is watching this thread:

* Boss did not drive the car in to work today, as it's supposed to rain here this afternoon, and possibly not gently.
* Turns out the whole "numbers matching" thing was HIS wording to ME, NOT the sellers, and the mistake (and/or confusion) is due to some miscommunication between HE and I, and is NOT on the seller.
* He said the seller claimed the engine and driveline is "date code correct", and he has pictures that show (prove?) this, but here's the kicker: He (my boss) doesn't care about this, as he loves the car and is just going to drive it and enjoy it!
* He says the only changes he's going to make on the car is replace the black top with a white one (which was original color), and in the interest of safety he wants to install power disc brakes on it over the winter.

If the weather holds, I'm looking forward to seeing the car in-person on Wednesday!

My apologies to all for any mistakes I have made.

The value is really not affected by a numbers matching engine as it cannot be proven in 1967. If you had a one owner car and the owner claimed it was the original engine it could still be hard to prove it was even the "original engine." Does the date coding really matter...maybe to some. The car is worth what it's worth. Maybe 35K on its best day. I really like it. We have a 67 convertible we are cloning into a 67/68 hybrid Formula S. I couldn't care less if it was a numbers matching car. But it will have a very early date coded 67 340 in it. LOL Did the date coded 67 340 come from a 67 car? NO... We got the engine from a member here and the 68 340 S hood badging from Coloradohill and the 150 MPH speedo and factory tach from 67cudaman. Actually the whole car came from a member here. Thanks guys. Hopefully your boss will have years of enjoyment out of the car. 1967 was a very good year for the Barracuda.
