10-11 second combos with hp weight gear ratio

A friend of mines. 68 340 4 speed dart Been bored 40. over. The heads have had lots of work. Put in 202 vavles its got a really big cam in it the biggest cam you can put in a 340 aluminum intake weind.balanced 580-600 mechanical cam Slight port and polish on the heads on the intake side and some on the exhaust bigger springs and better retainers and new pushrods too horsepower 450-470 11.2-11.5 1/4

'69 Dart 340/417. Probably around 3200 lbs w/out driver in full street trim. 11:1, runs 91 octane, W2 heads, 266/272 @ .050, .645 lift, Victor intake, Holley 950 HP. 10.89 @ 123.4 is still my best (somehow only went to the track once this year SMH) with shotty 60' of 1.7X.

Anyone with 340 450 hp running 1/4 mile

My 340 was probably in the neighborhood, it ran 11.61 @ 116 in the 1/4 and 7.24 @ 92 with a 1.52 60' in the 1/8.

Ported Edelbrocks, weiand Xcellerator, 11.4-1 ran on pump 93, Hughes 3742 hydraulic flat tappet, 727, 4.30 gears and 3240#.

What kind of cfm were the heads making after being ported.

I used to have a 360/380 hp crate motor in my D50 and it ran a best of 7.27 @ 95 in the 1/8 at 2950 lbs. The motor is a stock 360 Magnum. I think it is 9-1 comp. stock Magnum heads .501/.513 Hydraulic roller cam. It had BAD exhaust on it. They do not sell headers for a D50 so it had 1.5 in. block huggers with 2.5 in. collecters with 3 in. Flowmasters. I think it would have went alot faster if it had normal headers on it. I think that is in the 11.40 range in the 1/4. I built a 394 ci. pump gas small block and put in it and went over a second faster and 15 mph.

11.70

440/727 in a 69 dart Gt. 4.56 gears. 28" DOT tire. MPP 284/528 cam. 950 carb. TTI's. Eddy heads.

10.05 at 135mph

408/904 in a 1966 dart 4.56 gears 29x10 Hoosier slick, Cam 268/272 with 0.725" lift. Indy 360-1 heads cnc ported. Quick fuel 750cfm carb. Fender well headers.

Hope you don't mind me chiming in but anyone running a 383 stroker ?

Close, I have a 400 stroked to 500, Eddie heads, Comp hydraulic roller, Street Dominator with a 750 DP, 1 3/4 headers into full 2 1/2 inch exhaust, 3000-3500 convertor, 355 gears, 28 inch tall drag radials. Best so far in full street trim was 11.53 at 118 mph. I've never weighed it but my guess is over 3700 lbs with me in it.

Sharp ride. I bet if you uncapped it and ran a 950HP it would pick up a bunch.

How much horsepower don't forget that guys

If I uncapped it and added a bigger carb, no doubt it would go faster, but I would likely get my a$$ kicked off the track, since the car has no roll cage, and I don't want to install one. So its just some fine tuning now, since it's mainly a street car.

As far as horsepower, it dyno'd at 550 HP and 610 torque with my home ported 452 heads. It has not been back on a dyno since the Eddie head swap, but I picked up about 2 1/2 tenths in the quarter, so probably another 25 HP and some more torque.

I run a 950hp all the time on my 440. works great on and off the track.

I bought a new Holley HP main body for my 750, the one with no choke horn and adjustable air bleeds etc. We'll see if that is worth some horsepower or not.

400 stroked to 499,3550# with me in it. Eddy heads, victor intake, 10.9 comp, Comp cam solid flat tappet, 950 hp. 727 mvb, strange S60 with 373 gears, 295 drag radial.
10.79 at 123 mph through full exhaust.

Currently running a pump gas (93 octane) stroked 340 (394 ci) solid roller, 10.9 comp., Indy 360-2 heads, ProSystems 1050 carb.,8 in PTC convertor, 4.56 gears ,315/60 Drag Radials and Bullet mufflers. 6.21@110 mph, 1.33 60 ft. (1/8 mile) 2950 lbs. Drive to track. 662hp @ 7300-533tq on Dyno. I am shifting at only 6800 and crossing the finish line around 6400

Here is part of my plan- 383 stroker 496 ci. no more than 10.5 comp. not sure of cam size yet. alum. stealth heads. Biggest carb I can stick under original air cleaner. 3:55 gears. Eldabrock alum. intake. 275/60/15 rear tires Stock looking as much as possible. 69 fastback cuda w/ fiberglass fenders. When my dad bought his 69 fastback cuda 340 4spd NEW he remembers it weighting 3600

Seen a 70 duster 425hp 440 do 11.8-99 ish. And a 68 dart 440/727 391 do 11.59 115mph 450 hp at least was doing 11.76 113 mph. with 355 gears full int.

My GTX ran a best 11.22@ 120.
3690 with me in it. 392 HP at the wheels.
.030 over 440 stealth heads, [email protected] .600 lift lunati hydraulic roller with Hughes 1.6 rockers. 11.0:1 flat tops.
4200, 9.5" converter. Victor intake was 800 holley.
Wish I could have run this combo in good air.
4.10 8.75 detroit locker

My wife's dead stock '66 , /6 automatic w/manual brake and steering weighs 2810.

Add up the extra weight for the drivetrain you have and then subtract for the replacement or missing parts. AKA, aluminum, fiberglass, missing jack, etc.

That should be about as close as a good guesstimate gets until you hit the (accurate) scales.
