I have a 1965 Barracuda partially restored and am planning on adding value vs money spent on the rebuild. Taking into consideration what the car is worth now and how much it will be worth after the money spent, I would like to stay close to that.

My labor is not included in cost . Front clip is ready for paint ( was ) Radiator, engine, transmission, and driveshaft are restored as well as many of the smaller parts. Has new brake system all around and the wheels and hubcaps are done.
I need more pics of the body work needed. I have panels for the quarters should I decide to use them. Looking at an end result of a nice looking cruiser not to be raced and keeping as original as I can.

Great work!

I have a few more pics. I'm pretty well pleased with my last preservation so I'm still torn between metal and fiberglass repair on this one.
I have the metal and I have a welder that I used on a 66 I have, so it isn't a matter of that. I could also afford to just send the car out and let someone else do it, so it isn't a matter of that either. I'm also including pics of a couple of 66 Formula S 4-speed cars I have. ( red one under cover )

That car needs a lot of work.
Not as much as it did. I have a lot of NOS and restored parts done for it. I restored the steering wheel and column and replaced a wire in the column . I special ordered the correct blue metallic paint and all looks good as new.

Thinking about getting into this project now that my last one is pretty well complete. I will be keeping as much of the original metal in the car as I can while making sure everything is treated and preserved from future harm.

I want the car to increase in value at least to the extent of money invested. May go the steel reinfirced fiberglass panel route again. These would probably be smaller. Not planning on selling the car or making a profit from it but want to be in that position anyway. Not planning on driving it repeatedly on salt covered roads either, but want to be able to without worrying about it holding up.

The main goal though is to preserve it from future damage. Getting it to look good and roadworthy is a by-product and comes naturally but will be done with " restraint " . Meaning knowing what to do and what not to do, but there is a lot of flexibility in those regards.

" Keep your money, spend your time " may be a fitting motto here. :)

I would love to have that as a parts car for my newly acquired 65 s/6 auto
Driveline swap would be top priority for me
Not trying to insult you but too bad your not closer to me, as I’d pester you to no end
Good luck with the build
Hope you post the resto on here

There is no value in these cars anymore... we are pretty much here for ourselves, and no-one is waiting to get their hands on these.
I recently brought one of these back from the dead myself. It has no real value to anyone but me.
If I told my wife that I've spent 10k over the last 4yrs building this She would kick me out of the house! (4-Spd Conv, Commando Rebuild, Custom Cam, Floorboards, All Suspension etc...)
I probably have 15k in this ole cuda now and she works pretty damn well, but on the real market I bet it wouldn't pull 7 grand honestly.
