Tomorrow the rest gets stripped and onto the spit!!!!!!!!!!!
Might need a rear dome light, only found one. The little red opener really makes getting the drip rail moldings off a breeze! Oh, and a little wall art in the shop!
Enjoy!!!! Cuz I am!:cheers::blob:

SNKBIT, do you have both of the Cali license plates and would you be interested in selling them, if so, how much?

I only have the rear one. Never thought about selling it either. lol
How much you gimmie?:glasses7:

Cool ideas. I'll be following along to see what else you dream up.

I think I'm gonna shave the drip rail and fill the chrome holes along the doors and rear windows. Definitely gonna put in a narrowed 71-74 E or B body dash. Frame connectors. Haven't decided how much to tub the rear, mini or more. It will be lowered as far as I can get it. Thinking about ventless door glass also. I wonder if a Duster window will fit in the door. In general, going for the "no chrome" look. Snakeskin green with black accents. I need to find a hood to graft that 73 RR hood bulge on! Also, trying to figure out how to loose the rear bumper.
We goin' custom up in here!!!!!!!!:blob::glasses7:

Today, got the dash out, windshield, and rear window. Took some pics of the rust in rear window channel that caused the trunk floor demise. Except for the trunk rust, she's pretty clean. I am pleasantly surprised. Not a whole lot of panel replacement in this build. Should make it go a little quicker I hope.......:blob:
Tomorrow, the tail lights, trunk lid, remaining wiring comes off. Then to the lift and remove the suspension and gas tank and on to the spit. Then we'll get a really good look of the bottom!!!!:glasses7:

very nice,, I like the idea of shaving the gutters, cleaning the front end up by removing the front bumper,remaking a front valence,,,you are years ahead of my project,, but I have also consided setting in quad headlights,, get the head light look of the current generation Challenger,, with the headlighs set back and slightly shaded by the hood.

CRAP!!!!!! Why you gotta go and put more ideas in my head!?!?!?!?!:???:

lol Nice. Outside the box.:cheers:

Took a bunch more stuff off the cuda tonite. LOL when was the last time you used the factory jack??? Someone put tamper proof screws in the gas cap. I took a cut off wheel and made grooves so I could use a regular screwdriver. My bottom trim piece is mashed pretty good, anybody have one I could fix and paint? Going to be black so a little beat up is alright.

Heater box looks like it's seen better days. LOL

A good shot of the rust out in the rear window channel.
The only body panel rust through on the right rear lower.

Have to come up with an idea for the rear bumper delete. Too close to the back of the shop to get a good perspective of the look now. Will take better look when away from the wall.
Maybe cut, narrow the rear bumper and weld directly to the body. Make it a little taller from top to bottom.

Well, she went on the spit today! I made the spit about 12 years ago for about 140 bucks. One of the best investments I ever made. LOL Got the steering column out along with the front cross member. One of the pics shows the torsion bar tool fixed to the bar. Good thing I had that tool, the driver side was stuck pretty good.
When the car hoist is being used, just get the mobile lift. LOL

Little surface rust on the floor where the column was, not bad.
Was some odd writing on one of the front brake drums so I took a pic.
A better shot of my portable car lift. lol

Later today or tomorrow I will remove the rear suspension and gas tank and give the bottom side a good evaluation.
Later

Ahhh thanks for the pics, I can see where to mount my fuse box/panel now, on the steering column brace facing driver, wasnt sure if the wiper linkages went behind or in front of that, whewwww a load of my mind. Wish I could put the air box in on drivers side for the vent thing, tooooo much roll bar in the way down there, gonna need to plug that big hole up, sure made some nice ventalation going down the drag strip in the Texas summer LOL.
Im going to have to go with an after market heater, smaller and to have defroster too is all I need.

More accomplished today. Pretty much got the shell stripped down.
It sure is nice to be able to turn the body upside down to work on.

This is what happens when you forget the gas tank in the car and try to turn over. O-M-G!!!!!!! The 17 year old gas smelled like we crawled into a vat of Jack Daniels. It was plenty fermented!!!!! 10 minutes later and we were both high as a kite. WWOOOO- HHHHOOOOO!!!!! Nasty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was red from the rust in the tank. Got the mess cleaned up and the fan running. I have to take a shower now as I smell like turpentine.
THAT **** WAS NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:protest::wack::

Getting better view of bottom rear of car to see which way I can go to mini tub or larger. Want to be able to get Viper sized rubber under this car....:burnout:
I will get a better pic of the rear rails, but it looks like one could move the factory rails inboard 3-4 inches at least and reweld to the floor. I would remove the spare tire well to do this. Monster tubs with factory rails????
