" I really would love to see a whole thread on the scout build."

Me TOO!

My goal this year is to get the cuda back in the shop. Life, family, and other things have been priority last few years. Plus, body has slowed down......:BangHead::wtf: getting old sucks ***. lol

Lol, where do you come up with all these parts and projects? I wish I had those kinds of connections.

My story. Back in the 80s, 90s or early 2000s or so, I always had a car or two advertised in MCG. About every month or so, someone from a state or two or three away, sometimes just down the road, would call and tell me about and old Mopar they have for sale. No one locally would buy it. Examples: AAR Cuda, all there $3500, 70 Hemi Cuda, roller, missing the shaker $1500, 66 383 Charger, needs nothing $5500, 69 RoadRunner, fresh resto, needs nothing $5000, AAR Cuda roller $600, 70 V code Challenger, 68 Charger RT, all there NO rust $1500, all there NO rust, $2500 the list is long.
All before the net, smart phones, and texting. They used to call it "networking and talking"!

Yeah, it seems like Mopar stuff is still a lot of word of mouth kind of trading. A guy at my last job restored cars and had all sorts of interesting stuff lined up and feelers out for rare cars. I believe he knew were a Superbird or something was hiding and was just waiting for the guy to be ready to sell.

My luck has always been more "no one wants it when you have it" and "no one has it when you want it", lol. I've gradually managed to sell off a lot of the random parts and stuff I've ended up with after going through my shed and taking pictures of everything, but there's still some random parts kicking around out there I can't get rid of. I just hate throwing away something that still works, so I'll stubbornly hang onto it until I can find someone or someone has to throw it away for me.
