1968 Barracuda Euro Import Version

-
B. Washer fluid tank is fully on top of the fender.

Not original....most US cars in Europe got over their lifespan 'wrong' spare parts, the mechanics had often to 'improvise', because there existed - especially in the 8os and 90s - definitely no supply with original spare parts. This explains the Pontiac seats also....

Well the Pontiac seats may be only a owner's comfort choice. If the original ones were damaged ok... but also without an headrest, we all know how important is a neck sustain in some cases. So the swap had a reason.

Maybe this was the cause....but in the 80s and 90s it was simply impossible to get good, date correct mopar seats for a change.

I know a lot of old american cars here in Europe with wrong front seats.

Oh yes, of course the parts in the 80s and 90s were very difficult to find

Connections are like this.

Be careful with Power Out. That circuit is connected to the battery positive. It is energized at all times! You may find a plastic protector over it. A safety measure installed by the factory to reduce the chance of accidental grounding.

Marvin will probably know.

hi, the capacitor is wired like this:

FWIW the '67 RHD export photographed in this magazine shows headrests.

Very rare option for '67, at least for North America.

The '68 campaigned by Chrysler France has them as well. But that does not prove it was a standard on exports.

On the alternator; the capacitor is on the output terminal.
Maybe a repair ? or maybe a version I'm not familair with.
A small mystery but nothing to worry about AFAIK
Normally the Chrysler alternators we see have a capacitor connected to the output stud on the inside of the case.
Specifically in that alternator design the capacitor is integral with the output stud.

Hi! About the interiors, I’m quite sure mine had the traditional Deluxe seats on the front too. The back seat on my car are still the original ones, so I assume on the front there were deluxe bucket seats, not special ones. My interiors are all Deluxe:
-Rear seats, Door panels and dash bezel.
Here are my backseats, the upper side is original, the bottom it has been remade (badly) cause it was ruined:

The seats from Nevada arrived on Wednesday (thanks to New Fish) and Legendary Covers + Foam arrived the same day. It's been a hard job... but very satisfying.

The rear window looks unusual. Would you please post a closer picture of it including the weatherstrip?

The weatherstrip has been changed for sure at some point... and another was adapted, same for the front.
I'm looking for the weatherstrip trims, then I can change also the rubber.

Did you buy new from Legendary? I heard that there was a long wait for product from them?
Hi! Legendary itself gave me 5 months lead time.... Classic Industries had them in stock, I’ve received them in Italy in 10 days.

I’ve bought an original AMAG 1968 Barracuda brochure, for the Euro Market (France).
From what my car tags say it has been imported by Simca Paris and assembled in Schinznach (Switzerland)... but I don’t get why on the brochure, near the picture of an Hardtop like mine it says: Montage USA, near a Fastback it says: Montage Suisse.
