i was told It was not worth the price of getting it internally balanced

That was a circle track motor on the Dyno while I was there.

just bring them out to the gasket but make sure the gasket is true to the heads. Dont go more than about 1/4 inch into the intake. Consider studding the water neck. Countless intakes are damaged by needlessly stripped out water neck holes from constant removal in a corrosive environment.

Plan on painting the engine bay R6 red. Also figure I would fix some of he horrible wiring. I had all the extra wires running through a hole in the fire wall where the clutch rod would go. On the fence about going four speed but figure better to do it now than later.

Here are my two choices for holes.

I know the top one is for the windshield washer hoses. Not sure what the bottom one is for. Don't plan on ever using the washer pump but if the bottom one isn't used for anything I mine as well use it.

you only live once. Going to be using some other parts I had laying around.

I gasket matched my SB Strip Dominator last fall. I went farther in than 1/4". I ground a lot of material off the inside ports inside wall where it turns and on the floors. Didn't take too long, maybe two hours?

Matt's Valiant is BAD ***. Is he still running in SS/K?

I believe so. he didn't get out much last year. Took a long time to get his custom Pistons.

Have you done the ammeter bypass mod yet? That would give you the chance to clean up and remove a good bit of wiring. You could also drill through any unused 'pins' and just feed wires directly through the block.

sent these pics to brewers. Going to have to tear into the trans to see whats all needed. should be a fun learning experience.
