"1970 Pro Touring Dart Build"

Thanks!

One thing that keeps sticking out in my mind is the transmission mount. It turned out very nice but after looking at it I wish we would have done it slightly different so it doesn't stick down as far. Oil pan is still lower then the transmission brace, at least I have that going for me.
Such is life, and the only direction I'm moving is forward.

Have to cut up the dash some to get the it to fit.

I will take pictures of what it looks like after I'm done trimming.

Bolted the dash frame into the car and worked on fitting the new Peak Dash.

Here is what I had to trim to get it to fit. I didn't have to trim the smaller gauge reliefs so large, but I needed room to adjust the dash.
Still working on getting it fitted, running into an issue that I'm waiting to hear from Peak Dashes on.

I made the dash in the 71 Dart I had. I like the look and design of this one better.
Its not that hard to do, just takes time and the balls to cut up your dash.

Your right! Not hard or expensive. Just sheet metal and pipe would be all you need, plus some brains and a plan. Im gonna go for it,because that dash is pretty much what I had envisioned for my Dart.

I really like the recessed pockets for the gauges,it should help quite a bit with visibilty when looking at them.

Buddy made a kick *** bracket for the proportioning valve tonight.

Got the battery mount figured out for the most part. Just have to plan out the cable routing then weld the battery tray down.

I like this spot because its out of the way.

Nope, just going with manual brakes. I have a little bird on my shoulder telling me to put a line lock on it though.

they are fun ...I hooked the engaged light up to the "fasten seat belt " indicator on my dash

On the 68' Road Runner we had a couple years back I did something similar and hooked it into the emergency brake light in the instrument cluster so it glowed red and read "BRAKE" when engaged.

are you thinkin about a power booster?

Are they really needed? A bodies seem light enough and with the big brakes people are running Im thinking you can do OK without one. If there is more to it than that please explain ...

needed?...no
nice?...yes

just wondered, with Shawn, he always has a trick or two to show us

Any specific brand of line lock to go with, or are they all pretty much the same?

always been a fan of Hurst...but never tried the others

Trying a B&M line lock. Should have a pile of new parts in a few days.

Parts are here.

Dougs D453 headers, B&M line lock, seat brackets, fuel line, brake line, fuel filter, transmission cooler, dash pad, dash vents and steering column.

Also picked my color. Here is the test panel and multiple pictures so you can see how it changes based on the light. Working on how many mid coats I want to nail down the exact color but it will be close to this.

Should show the body lines nicely.

Loud and obnoxious, just like Ma Mopar liked them.
