Sorry to ask a truck question here, but the guys on the truck site either don't know or just don't answer.
I need to replace the coolant sensor on a 318. I know it is located to the left of the radiator hose. Mine is broken, but looks like just one wire goes to it. I picked one up this morning but it has two wires. I'm at work and can't work on it today.
Thanks

The only coolant sensor I can see (on no less than 4 beer kegs) is on the RIGHT (pass) side next to the heater hose nipple. They are all 2 wire

It uses a VERY tiny connector

The repair manual shows two. One on each side of the thermostat. I think I have it figured out now.
Thanks

I purchased one of each and will return the one I don't need. Problem solved

The single wire sensor is for the temp gauge, and the dual wire sensor is for the ECM.
