So, we went out to Milan yesterday. Off the trailer, Krusty went 9.90, with it's lazy 60ft and eh mph. This winter, the car needs to get the converter "tuned up". It really marches mid-track. We had to adjust the valve on the vacuum-pump, as it was sucking the oil out of the engine. In total, we made 6 passes...averaging in the mid 9.80's. I brain-farted on one pass at the line, got kinda pissed and went right back to the staging lanes. I was super focused, and the planets aligned for the day. It went 9.78. I was calling a good friend who builds chassis'[all mine] and has raced for 50 years, and he talked us through the pump adjustment and wanted details. So, I'm guessing there isn't much to improve upon, until we get the new converter. We have two more T&T's for next week, then I think we'll "call it" for 2025. Krusty has lived up to about 90% of my expectations for a new car. It's gone from a first-ever pass of 10.98 [last Wed], and 9 passes later...it's been as low as 9.78. I'm guessing Krusty has some pretty low 9's, with a new converter and more tweaking.

The mopar guys were out pretty heavily yesterday, and some were kinda freaked out, to see a beat-up old Duster with no hood-scoop, a SBM, and a Thermoquad...go as quick as it did. I got to beat up on a "tuned" Red-Eye and another late model Challenger. I don't pay attention to the Brand-X cars. I never really got to look at them, except in the mirror.

So, at this point...I'm kinda giggly and proud of all the work put into Krusty by myself and my good friends. Vito ,a new friend and great guy... is now my crew-chief [he used to seriously race a Duster 30 years ago]. He's learning modern stuff, but is super focused and willing to do anything on the car. Us old guys are getting noticed with the worn-out looking Duster.

Just went and looked at your other thread. They’re not slotted mags but the car is still cool as hell.

Thank you. I hope to see ya, and it's a good bit quicker by then. The 60ft is dreadful.
As you know, they're never done. We'll be chipping away and experimenting for awhile. I'm done with the "racing" thing, and just want seat-time in my cars.
T&T's and track rentals are what I desire. Me and the car.....nothing more.
