21 days and counting… To run 12’s
had about 15 minutes today, so I was able to finish scraping off all the old intake gasket. It’s ready to install the new intake, but I’m gonna do a side-by-side comparison of just what the eye beholds before installing.

And actually.... I'm going to try to run on the 18th, so that's only 9 days. Busy schedule ahead, so somewhere I need to find a few small windows of time to button some things up.

Ok, so I did remove the carb and thermostat/housing off the old SM intake, and scraped off the old gaskets. Grabbed my calipers so I could talk about the intakes and shoot some footage, but my batteries were dead in my calipers. Bummer.

I believe by the looks of things, I'll get the RPM bolted on, and carb set up and that's probably where she'll meet the strip next Saturday.

Driver limited!! It’s been at least 8 years since I’ve taken the tree.
I put 275 drag radials on it and they dead hook on the street from a roll. But I have yet to launch it. I’m just gonna roll it off the line instead of hammering it because it still has the small diff in it so I gotta be careful.

I've got my good (analog) calipers in california. I needed something in AZ, cause I thought my digital that I had with me had died. Turned out, I replaced a dead battery, with another dead battery. DOH!
So I bought a cheap plastic one thru wally world. Turned out to be Metric only (ship!).
Well, upshot? Needed one yesterday. Digital dead again, used the cheap plastic crap, and Google to find out what it really reads!
