Has anyone robbed a 95ish jeep grand Cherokee efi system and put it on their BB? Computer, plumbed injectors, crank sensor etc etc? I ask because I have an extra setup and wonder if it would work.

I'm certain it could be done, but with the "non hackability" of Chrysler computers, I'm not sure I would. There was a guy some time back put Ford EFI on a Mopar, E body I think ........have to see if I can still find that.......

EDIT..........Here's some of it "EFI-Cuda"........he used Ford it's "mass air flow" which is supposed to be much more "self adjusting" for changes in the engine.

Inexpensive-budget EFI option that rocks!!!!!!!

"I was actually gonna do this" one of my many dreams that's still out in the shed "somewhere"

I followed the link, read the posts, intrigued, but it's dreadfully lacking in any useable tech tips. Where's the specifics? So vague and general, it was useless.

Hmmmmm....yes it does lack some specifics. It seems like it should work with a system off of the Cherokee... seems like the O2 and computer talking, and the crank sensor working correctly, and with choosing the correct size injector... things should pan out...... and then there might be the case of the distributor communicating correctly too.

The distributor turns CCW in a 383, the distributor shaft length is different, injectors need to be at least 20% more flow.

If the Jeep has distributor Hall tigger, the wheel could be re-indexed slightly to correct for rotor phase issue.
Larger injectors might be found that fit, but manifold will also dictate choice, but injector impedance should match. I think the ECU can be fooled, but fuel and ignition tables will need tuning for optimal performance. The idea that O2 will fix, is not fully correct.
I could help more with details about the 318 system, and ability to capture timing signals on running engine.

I am willing to help. I will also need your help, to take pictures, tape measure measurements, and record sensor values in relation to crank position.

I can explain in detail how to make measurements, and pictures. The measurements can be done in a static manner using an LED and resistor to indicate 1 and zeros, as crank is rotated, degree wheel tracking position for 2 revolutions. That works for Hall sensors. There is a bit more to explain, so best to work by email, PM a message.

If you can't take his username and do your own search I feel sorry for you. I posted this yesterday morning, like this morning on my way to work. I found plenty of info on this swap at the time.

I am just starting my research on the swap sir. One of the other members had some good info too. Thanks for yours.

Seen a guy use GMs TBI on a mopar. Fits under the stock air cleaner. He said the 350 TBI works fine for small blocks, and the 454 TBI works fine for big blocks. You would have to make an adaptor from the 4 bolt manifold flange to the TBI mating flange. Air cleaner hole is a standard 5&1/8" 4bbl hole.

By the way I'm not absolutely sure, but "I bet" the late model Magnum cam sensor works either rotation, which means you should be able to adapt that into an B/RB distributor

Thanks! That could solve some issues!

Check out monkey madness build thread on his barracuda. He is using a mopar magnum EFI setup with a whipplecharger on a custom made intake manifold he machined out of the magnum intake. He got his wiring and stuff done by a ford guy that i think goes by the handle of four eyed fox.
