318 stroker build

So how do we fix this? Well, it's pretty easy actually, it's just a matter of recutting the saddles with the appropriate 7/8 mill. We swept the head to get it straight to the spindle, now we indicate in the centerline of the rocker bolt holes.

So now we will paint the saddles with machinist blue, in order to see our cuts..

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I saw your mentions of the rocker stand issue on another thread, then someone linked this one. I'm very happy to hear that Mike won't even sell a geometry correction kit anymore unless you correct the stands first! Just a shame I had to be one of the guinea pigs. 4 months before you made this thread in 2021, this happened to me. Broke my rocker shaft in 2 different places and made a mess inside my valve covers. I'm lucky nothing else happened and all it took was a new shaft and new geometry correction kit (plus dressing a couple valve tips). Could have been much worse... but it sure made me HATE Speedmaster for taking NO accountability. I opened a case with them, but they don't care.

what was the final outcome on this? any dyno numbers? how do you think this would do with stock heads that are just touched up a little with matching valve springs?

inquiring minds and all that...
