Anyone have any opinion on Indy heads 426 small block stroker engine? Just seems to me that those cylinder was would be paper thin.

How far out did they bore? i thought the hughes 426 kit is only .030?

What is the bore and stroke?

4.100 with 4" stroke would be 422 or am I wrong

The Indy heads have that reputation…. I think it would be a excellent screamer.

4.180 stroke….
Take a look at @Johnny Mac at blueprint, he has a great stroker.
Your comparing a banana to a cave man club.
He is also asking about cylinder heads more so over the stroker size.

4.185 X 4.18 = 460.54

4.2 X 4.18 = 463.29

4.2 X 4.25 = 471.05

The trick there is a block that can use a 4.2 piston in its bores and finding or making that once available 4.25 sbm crank.

I agree on caveman! But I was thinking OP was contemplating building a stroker?

could be seen ether way I guess? IDK, I seen a question on cylinder heads or the entire package as a whole.

No matter. A banana can be just as painful as club….

Depending on how and where you get hit!

If I could do it all over again, I'd have gone with the Indy 360-1 heads/intake in-lieu of the Trick Flows on my 421.

That's not a knock against Trick Flow. Their heads are awesome. The Indy heads are just more capable IMO. I'm seeing guys run high 9s N/A with them. Larger exhaust ports. They're just "gooder" for my application. Just depends on what you're using the car for.
