63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

-
Hi! I'm just mainly waiting on parts:( I put the dash it cause I wanted to see it there. I have the quarter windows in and the front passenger. The drivers(even though the fronts are the same), I sent a template to Sanders Reproduction glass having the glass made. They had the glass for the hard top and convertible, but not for the sedan.

So, the Nifty50ees car get together is tonight, so getting the 67 Mustang ready to join those with like mindedness;)

One day the 63 Dart will join the line up

Dash looks great in there .
Time to get the HVAC units installed under the dash then install the dash and plumbed .

How was the nifty 50’s gathering? Hope you had fun.

Well last nights cruise was dry and today it has yet to rain so kool April nights was a dry success this year .

All I did today was clean up, put tools away, etc. I had two smaller rolls of insulation and kind of ran out. I can't do the area around the shifter hump until I install the transmission, which means engine/trans, I will be welding it in. Tomorrow I really need to get on the internet and find a headliner~ that will be pretty incredible to have that out of the way, then rear glass(which I have), it's like a domino effect!

Looks great, @Dne007! The sound deadener made a huge difference for Vixen!

Thanks Guys :thankyou: , there weren't very many cars at the Nifty50ees, but we did leave early(got there at 3:00 left at 5:30), but still had a great time talking to others there. The Mustang ran great! I love the new Unisteer p/s rack n pinion I had installed it after Harvey the Hurricane. Precise steering with a great turning radius. Today there is another car gathering, but not sure if we'll go~ I'd really like to take the Bronco as I haven't shown it much at all. Weather looks good, so I think I'll pull the Bronco out, remove the dust and at least take it for a drive

A fun moment in my Mustang:
My favorite memory of the time since I've owned the Stang~ first off, the gearing in my mustang is crazy, 1st gear in the T5 is like a granny gear, almost useless. It's a 3:53 and don't ask me how I came up with that number. But I took our 10 y/o grandson for a short ride, he was sitting right behind me so I could watch his face in my rear view mirror, he was buckled in with the 3 point seat harness~ The mustang has a pull from heaven (not the other place) dropping from 4th to 3rd is exhillarating! Anyway, I was in 4th moving pretty good already, dropped it into 3rd punching it at the same time, it launched, windows down, air blasting him, the exhaust sound all adds to the excitement~ the smile on his face was of sheer excitement caught him by surprise! I'm smiling as I type. I asked him what he thought about the moment~ he giggled, and just said Wow  ! Oh how I love my Mustang!! The engine/trans came out of a crashed 1990 Police car, had 64k miles on it. Was fuel injected but I converted it to carburetor.

Hi, finally got the diaphragm clutch, seems to be correct. The clutch fork for that I had bought was not correct, another item on the shelf, so I just re-enforced the one in the picture. Now waiting for a slave cylinder.
In the meantime I've been helping my brother, or visa versa, on his newly bought 1974 Honda CB360t. just a lot of maintenance(chain, sprockets, oil change, replace the shifter shaft, etc) as usual waiting for parts~ story of my life
ok, going to get ice cream;)

Hi again;) I got my front bumper today, used of course, of course it's used  !!! It just need a little attention then will be painted matt black, luckily I have the front brackets. I wish my rear bumper had been in this good of shape!
I found this bumper on ebay and the asking price was 250 plus s/h. The selling wasn't offering make an offer. I watched it for a little while and the watchers were adding up! So I wrote the guy (Paul) and wrote, My Dad always said it doesn't hurt to ask" regarding the offer I put out there as 75 less. I had sent him a picture as well. I paid immediately after the "deal". It still totaled up to right at 300, but that's better than almost 400! ;)

Paul the seller wrote: "Hi. Your dad was right. is the 175 the offfer? I would end the listing if that is the case. Thanks Paul. Great job on the Dart"

Always enjoy every episode of Dne007.

Enjoy ever bit of how you are going about this.

Creativity, inventiveness, negotiations, unbridled Elon Musk talent.

Keep 'em coming...

Cutting and drilling 5/16 plate is a pain. The pink/fushia slave is from speedway and had very good reviews. It's 7/8" bore, the other one one is I'd say 3/4" bore. I made the bracket to work with both just in case
one doesn't travel as far as need be. I'm waiting on a couple 11/16 spacers, the 3/4" nuts were just around and really need to be 11/16. I don't know what length hose I need until I re-install the engine/trans later today. I'm anxiously nervous to test my fabrication and choice in hydraulics. If not, back to the drawing board, hopefully not. I hope the pink one works best. The bore of the Bronco(should I say that?) master is 7/8, so I've read.

oh, the ardvark depression where the rod goes through, I could not find that concave washer so I bought a chevrolet rocker arm pivot and fits really good;)

I think I've done enough for today~ I can say I can put a slant 6(mine anyway) in record time. I had to install the exhaust to make sure all is well coming down from the clutch master.

this seemed like the logical direction for the slave inlet
slave cylinder3d.jpg

Racetune makes a 90 degree fitting AN-4 which (I will order in a few minutes)
slave cylinder3c.jpg

I will be wrapping the exhaust eventually
slave cylinder3b.jpg

I'd say it looks pretty beefy;) I'll soon remove it all and paint the parts, Allen screws are coming to mount the 5/16 bracket to the bell housing and of course the correct spacers.
slave cylinder3a.jpg

When it comes time, I think I can take the slave and master and bench bleed them, then re-install and just bolt up and push the pedal.

Thank you, George Jets turned me on to the Bronco II clutch master many moons ago, and it was the ticket to the to making this happen~ so many thanks to George;) Now if it will just work:thumbsup:

You're doing a great job! Im thinking that Ford master cylinder, might be the ticket due to the clearance on the inner fender!

Hm, what have I done today? not much, waiting for parts, however I just don't have the energy to do much today.

Glen (GGs66gt) gave me these door panels, I just paid shipping~ they were kind of white, I cleaned them well, then spray with SEM Satin black. I see I missed a place on the matt black, however, I'll touch that up, but looks great and so Thank you Glen :thankyou: he's a super cool guy, but you know what, there's just a bunch of super cool guys on here

Nothing here other than there's touch up to be done, omg, just a bunch of stuff. I'm kind of shopping for a manual steering gear, Glen pointed to some new ones on Rock auto, but darn it~ meh

Still waiting on the drivers side glass, and where is my headliner!!! grrrr

I know the Kwik sert? is a way to go, but I was thinking just to epoxy it into place and put a few metal screws to cinch it down.

I'm just going to drink my coffee and sit back:thumbsup:

Silly me, you mean The Killer bracket! It looks new(er), and did the job, and I THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I get so much help, only because I wouldn't make any progress without you guys!

Just started looking for a trunk battery mount, Darn it would be easy to mount it where it goes, but looks better not having the battery in the engine compartment. Does the dart have a starter solenoid, or can I wire the positive lead directly to the starter post? Darn, where's Ray when I need him

You know what, I'm thinking not to run heater hoses to my eventually new Classic auto air AC. I have never ever never had heat on in any of my classics, be just two less hoses to deal with, I could run the heater hoses to the bulkhead under the dash for future reference.

hm, what other brainy schemy things do I have going on in my brain :realcrazy:

engine re-installeda.jpg

Solenoid's all on-starter style, starter relay also serves as fusible link junction for all battery feeds, it could certainly be moved aft as well as batt. if desired.....lots of wiring fun!!!
