This should help to bring your property taxes down. Just posted by Texas Governor Greg Abbott this afternoon 7-20-2025.

Thank you George :thankyou: , I pointed this out to Gary. He said he had seen it, but was unclear, but I thank you all the same~ It's just dealing with the gluttony of Harris county:(

You don't suppose your county got wind of what was in the pipeline and decided to get in while the gettin' was good .

I was shocked back in '77 when buying my 1st house , the Property tax the year before was $400 after I bought I get a notice that my Property tax would be $ 1400 !!!
At the time Prop.13 was in the works and it Passed . The result was my tax would be based on the purchase price . I paid $ 53,500 and the tax was $ 530 Thank you Howard Jarvise for pushing this through . This also ment that it could only raise 1% year !
Now after 48 years Prop. 13 is under attack by those who want to get rid of it !!!!
We are fighting to save it and keep the taxes where they are !

I hope you get a break on your taxes !

Hi Rusty, well, I'm going to wait a while on letting the rear springs settle as there really is very little weight. I'm kind of liking the rake a little, there's just so much going on right now;)

I love how the car sits. Are you going to keep the hot rod stance?

The past few days I've been wrestling with the headliner~ wow that's rough on the knees! Sail panels ALWAYS give me grief.
yesterday I received my AC evaporator "kit", lots of room beneath the Dart dash. The evaporator being hung is just a test fit, need to figure a way to split one of the dash exits on the case as I have 4 dash vents. Still need to block the hole in the under dash, but make it removable to have access to a bolt inside the cowl. Still need one more brace somehow. I may have said, but I'm not running heater hoses and will just leave the heater core blocked as is. the AC hoses will go through the firewall just beneath the case via firewall bulkhead thing. Just taking a break right now

I had turned the wiper on to see how close I could get to the wiper thing, the stopped it there by disconnecting the battery at the precise spot.

Good morning Glen;) Out of all my classic cars (since 2008), I have never turned the heater on on any of them, never. So why even hook it up, plus having two more hoses to contend with in my pretty engine compartment. When I'm long gone and someone wants them ran, it wouldn't be all that difficult to run them. Probably have to connect the electronic heater control valve, but stuff it out of the way. Looking back, I wish I had never hooked up the heater hoses on any of them. Always wondered if the hot coolant running through a heater core influences a slightly warmer Air conditioned air flow. meh

What to do today:lol:

Looking good, why no heater hoses ?

Well, the heater core has plugs as seen in the picture and I could just leave it that way, or, I could run the heater hoses to the firewall bulkhead, and plug the lines there on the engine firewall side~ which someone could just run the heater hoses, but then the heater core would have been exposed to "air and moisture". Gosh, decisions!

I haven't had enough coffee yet to make my brain tell me to go back and look at the pics.....lol. I'd just leave those in there. Looks like you could get to them to hook up hoses if you move to Alaska and change your mind about a heater. :) :poke:

Wow, I'm almost through with the addition/modification to have 4 vents. What a pain, but it's good to use our brains from time to time  I'm not finished~

I'm sorry but these pics are out of order, but you guys get the idea

Thank goodness for my Dremmel to cut these holes out

The AC kit came with four of these vents, so I used my bandsaw and cut off the part that I needed

I've had this piece of a down pipe for gutters forever, bing!

I'll paint the silver color black eventually

cowl vent cover in place but removable, the bolt in this picture is sealed from the inside of the cowl. With the cowl cover out I can reach this bolt easily.
Dart AC vent ada.jpg

It has one screw holding it in place but silicone is doing the rest. Still need to put an end cap on it, but no biggy.

I'm done for today~ just going to work a few hours a day from now on~ taking it easy

Dne007, you are my Hero ! ! ! I too am awfully sorry about the overabundance of Rainfall you folks experienced. That's an awfully hard picture to look at. But the hundred or so of others you've included regarding the updates brings the Sun back out ......thoughts and energies to you folks out there towards a full recovery (if that's even possible).

You are too kind El Viento, :thankyou: fortunately, we down here in Cypress, Tx, just NW of Houston, we really didn't get any of that nasty rain, but my heart hurts for those good people:(
thank you for tuning into build~! stay tuned!! ;)

I may have posted this somewhere, but this is another AC I installed in my 1972 TR6 with a miata engine several years ago. There are just some things I hope I never have to do again.

This was just mocking the unit in, paint came much later

The AC evap wouldn't fit flush up against the firewall, so I had to change the angle by fabricating that silver sheet metal in the picture which allowed it to fit flush.

this is the GenII mini, works crazy good and with the hardtop on, is quite luxurious;) This must have been after paint
