63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

He's in England, so he may or may not know how many different accents we have in the USA. We went out to dinner tonight with 4 other couples that are friends where we have our camper at the beach. We're hilbillies from western NC, another couple is from the Charlotte area, another from Upstate SC, one more is from Michigan, and the other is from the Boston area. 5 very distinct accents at one table....lol.

Good one here. Being ret Mil the wife and I have been aroundnd alot. NYese is the most misunderstood, Hawaii is its on vocabulary for sure with all the other accents in it. Lived there a long time. Went back to NY and had to be the interpreter for the wife with her family!

They have lots of accents there, too. They all sound about the same to me, though. I guess if I heard them everyday, I could tell the difference.

Hey JD;). Didn’t really occur to me until you mentioned that about the headrests. I tried pulling them off a while back and couldn’t get them off, but this morning I just pulled with greater force;)
What do you think? Changes the look entirely;)

I like your design and execution of the bucket seats in the back! I have to say though, the headrests sticking up would drive me nuts while driving. I have too much OCD about blind spots, I'll readily admit! :realcrazy:

Looks much better without the headrests. But, you kinda have to weigh out how often you will be carrying backseat passengers. If you would be carrying people back there fairly frequently, I'd lean more heavily towards leaving the headrests on to protect people in the back from whiplash if you got rearended while you had someone back there. I think I remember you mentioning you were a PT person during your career, so I imagine you've seen the aftermath of rearend collisions many times. :(

This is my second try at rear glass tinting. The first was a disaster! I have one more piece to try the rear again. Getting better at shrinking the film to fit on this not flat glass. Also I’ll make it a little shorter to allow the water to exit at the bottom of the film. The side windows should be much easier since they’re all flat glass;)

Hey JD, the trick is to place an appropriate size of tint on the outside of the glass, cutting it as a template, cut it out, shrink it, then remove the "backing" then take the tint to the inside and install it onto the glass. There are a multitude of How to's on tint installations~ thank goodness.

I tried that dark tint on the rear window of my truck, looked cool.

It was really quite dangerous, I could not see anything out the back window with reflections and all.

Took it back out, much more of a pleasure to drive now being able to see what's behind me.

Don't know until you try and drive it in traffic.

I was worried about that, the tint on my Dart is darker in the picture than actually being here. I was kind of worried that it wouldn't be dark enough, however, if it winds up being too dark, I'll learn how to redo it all :realcrazy:

Third times the charm! It’s not a A+, but for a diy’er, not bad, I just hate paying someone for something I can do myself;)

After lunch, install the new fan

i agree about not paying others for stuff i can do, it just takes longer to get to the end. also dawn thinks i'm a control freak as i don't trust others to do what i can do better, at least at home anyway. she wants 'now' and i'm more of the 'when it's done' mindset.
neil.

Totally agree

Installed the new fan, I bought this really long 1/2” “wrench” for this very task, it’s considered a vintage tool as Snapon doesn’t make them anymore. Yes, I know that’s a lot of leverage, but I have built in to my brain- knowing when to stop twisting a bolt;)

It’ll be a few days before i get Dartypoo out of the garage, however it’s supposed to be rather cool in the morning and I can open all the garage doors, then I can fire that muther-up
