This barracuda is a mildly built 273 with factory 4 speed and stock rear end.

I am interested in what transmission fluid and rear grease to run and any recommended additives?

Thanks to all comments!

Trans fluid is Dextron 2 originally, I can't keep track of what number dextron they are on now, I think it's 5 (Dextron V)...

Rear end lube is 80/90 weight, and if you have sure grip there is a special formula 80/90 weight for sure grips.

What he ▲▲▲▲ said. I think the last time I bought Trans fluid, I found Dexron 3/4.

Your A833 tranny is going to use 85W-90 gear oil, GL4 specification (with no friction modifiers) Almost a gallon.

Your rear differential will take 80-90W or 85W-90 too and if it happens to be a sure grip unit will need a bottle of Mopar Sure Grip axle additive - 4318060 (or anybodies friction modifier additive, don't tell anybody but I get mine from the Ford dealer because he has it on the shelf)

I wouldnt use Dex-6 in an old auto, IIRC it is made with synthetic base oils. Stick with dino-based Dex 2-3. Dex-6 starts thin, and stays that way, almost no change with heat. that could screw with old calibrations
