What do you folks think about these paint plans.

Two-tones can be cool but it's tricky IMO...personally I think you should keep it simpler...on early-a's I've seen the two-tone divided at the bodyline along the beltline (the line that's a 'hairpin' at the front of the car and goes all the way back.) The way you are thinking of doing the hood would look odd to me....again just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions....
X2. I used a wide stripe on my '64, as wide as the grille. The wide black stripe broke down the expanse of gold. It was easy to paint, would be easy to duplicate for any future repairs. The car was destroyed in a garage fire, feel free to copy the design. See my avatar.

The hood thing ain't makin it. Try little European stripe they used on the left side. Those were cool. The hood thing ain't cool somehow.

Now that's a great paint scheme!
