65 Dart windshield rubber

I’m looking to replace the windshield in my Dart. Looking at a few different options. I see prices between $45 and $100 for a windshield gasket. The current one I’m looking at is by Goodmark and is $46. Does anyone have any experience with this brand? Any input as far as which to go with? This is for a daily driver not a show car.

Rock auto has them for $36 plus shipping and they are the good mark looking at the gasket it looks to be good quality

Goodmark is a good brand. Not too many choices if I remember correctly.

Are the chrome strips reusable? Or do they get damaged when taking them out?

If you’re careful and take it out you can reuse it yes

I my case the chrome strip wasn't chrome anymore it was 50+ years old. I bought a kit that came with both, it was a while back so I don't remember were I got it. That strip spreads the rubber out, so you have to have it.

And just to be clear, this weatherstripping actually holds the windshield in place unlike others where they use some sort of sealant correct?

That is totally correct and then you use the chrome strip to lock everything in place
