I purchased some centerline rims 14 x 5.5.
Whats a good tire size combination? Small bolt pattern and stock. Can I fit 235/70r14 on the back? Please help!

what's the backspace on the rim and how low are you out back?

likelihood is yes, but it depends.

According to Tire Size.com, there is no such tire as a 235/70x14. They also say a 225/70x14 needs a 6-7.5" rim.
And a 225/70 might be too tall for the front, rub on the front lip of the opening.
5.5s all around? I'd probably run 225/60x14s. A hair wide according to tire size, but that's never stopped me before.
Want a taller tire on the rear? 225/70x14.

You know that "rims" are measured BETWEEN the beads, right, which is about 1 inch less than outside to outside.
A 5.5" wheel translates to be a checking wheel for a 200 branded tire.
A checking wheel at this size is 70% of the branded size.

A 235 tire would thus need a 6.5" wheel.
You can fool around with the checking wheel formula, a bit, depending on the sidewall height. The taller the tire, the further you can stray.

On my Barracuda, I have 7.5" rims on the front with 235/60-14s on them, that are wearing nicely at 29psi. The backspace is 3.75
On the back, you can fit up to 295/50-15s on 10 inch wheels, but no way on the stock width rearend, unless yur Ok with them sticking out quite a bit.
I narrowed my rearend as far as was possible, and still have the springs mounted about flush to the inboard edge of the factory tub. This accepted a 4.5 inch backspace., and put the assembled wheel fully inside the tubs, so that I can run lowered.
Running a 205-14 in the back is gunna look a lil weak...... IMO.

On the stock-width rearend, I once ran 275/60-15s, on 8.5 inch wheels with , I'm guessing, it was a 3.75bs

From bead to bead is 6"
The formula says a 218 will go on that, rounds down to a 215.
If a tall sidewall, a 225 will fit.
As the tire gets wider, the outer edges will tend to rise up off the road. To prevent premature wearing out of the center treads, the tire pressure will need to be reduced. This affects handling negatively, and ages the tire faster due to tire carcass flex. This gets worse with shorter sidewalls. For example, my 295/50-15s I have to run them at 24psi to wear evenly across the face.

I happen to like the ride very much with my 235s@28psi, with 1.03 T-bars and HD shocks. Sidewall roll-under with 235/60-14s on 7.5s has not been a big deal, partly because I installed a big anti-roll bar up front, and partly because I have a tendency to steer with the gas pedal with the 295s on fire, and partly because I'm a streeter, and partly cuz the front of my car weighs just 1850 pounds.

The 235/70x14 tire the o.p. asked about doesn't exist.
A 235/60 does exist, but it's too wide for a 6"rim (imo)
I also have a pair of original small pattern centerlines for my 67 Cuda notch, but they are 15x5 1/2.
I don't know what was offered by centerline in 14s, other than the 14x7s I had about thirty years ago.
