Going to be a sweet build man. Cut that thing up, a lot of people will give you a hard time since it is so nice but it's not their car. Also a bodies aren't the hardest things to find.

Your wife's car looks like it's going to be a handful. You got a winner if she can handle it.

Well I guess if you start with a nice car it should end up nice, at least thats the plan. The wife's car is going to be a handfull, but it should be fun.

Just curious, in your first post you said you wanted a 9 second street car but your going to have a 7.50 cage put in? I can see wanting to do it now in case you go faster later but imo I would do an 8.50 now and just have them set it up so that's is easy to convert to 7.50 later. I wouldn't feel safe running a 7.50 cage on the street, those funny car cages are instant death in an accident.

I hear ya, and thats a good point. It will be more track than street. Starting out a 9 second car will get me back on the track again while we decide what to do powerplant wise.
When you hang out with guys with 7 second cars that are all nuts, they make you nuts too. It's contagious.

I hear that, that's how I got started building mine. #-o

I only wanted to spend money once on the Chassis, plus this guy has a waiting list to do cars. Get in and be done and it will hold whatever I throw at it. I will pad the area around my head for sure Junior636. I have always wanted a drag car built to this caliber so I'm going to try and not scrimp.

I know this isn't the Dart, but since I posted some pics of the wifes Cuda on this thread I thought I would add some follow up. My friends have been working on the car to help get things finished up and here is some of the brainstorming. The upper radiator hose is going to change to something fabed.

Sorry to be so long getting back to this car, but it has been stuck in chassis prison for several months. I hope these pictures come through if not I will try again. I forgot to get the picture of the fabbed 9" rear.

the way the front sub bars are spread and tied in to the frame rails i wonder how much strength is provided in say like a wheels up launch ? the front stock clip is very weak/flexy to begin with.

A few update pictures.
