72 Dart Swinger 3.6L Pentastar +T5

New Lares 18831 16:1 manual steering box came in. Its around 3.3 turns Lock to Lock.

Its going to be a hell of a lot better than the 6.6 turns for the stock 24:1.

Its brand new ~$316.99 no core

There's a thread on here somewhere about it when it first came out. The first I saw it a year or so ago they were ~$285 but RockAuto was out of stock for a while. I didn't want to miss it again, so I had them email me when they came in, which was just last Saturday,,,but apparently they're out again.

Got most of the exhaust done on the Dart. Still need to get the right tail pipe done. The tail pipes I had weren't designed for stock chrome tips, so more work is needed.

Great, how does it run?
For a Stock 3.6L ~290-300hp, it runs pretty good. It pulls hard from 4000rpm-6500rpm

Traction is a problem with the 4.56 gears and 175lb/in leaf springs. I'm hoping my new Viking shocks helps with that. Traction is just going to get worse with the Supercharger

Autocross was canceled this weekend, so we took the Dart to the Test & Tune

Baseline testing 14.37 at 99.6mph

60ft were around 2.189-2.586 with it spinning in 1st and a good part of 2nd. Driver Mod + Slicks or drag radial would have been helpful. I might have been able to get it in the 13.9s

Weather: 91F, 29.74in Barometer,71% Humidity
Mods: Stock 2013 3.6L Pentastar, Stock tune, 93oct

Drivetrain: T5 5 Speed; 25.5" tire; 265/35-18 Kuhmo V720; 4.56:1 8-1/4 axle

nearly 100mph is moving pretty good and it definitely sounds better than i was expecting. lol yeah that first gear was BRUTAL

Finally got the 2013 3.6L head on the flowbench (SF-1020)

I only had time to get the Intake done but WOW! The Stock head is a beast!

Intake port flow maxed out OVER 300cfm at .444". At stock intake lift of .405", it's still close at 296cfm.

Suffice to say, it kicks the crap of most any SB head.

1/2" Taller Upper Ball Joints from Proforged 101-10298

I plan to lower the K-Frame by 1/2" as well for better Cg, increased clearanced between the LCA and frame and lower the roll center.

Pulled 4.8lb of excess wiring from the JK Wrangler dash harness I'm using on my Dart

Much to my surprize, nothing was jacked up when I reinstalled the remaining harness.

Just curious, what coolant temp does it run at?

Hmmm, our JGC 3.6 runs about 217-225, thermostat is a factory 203*. So I’ve been checking around other forums and have found that 230 is where most 3.6’s are running....Rams, Challengers, Chargers, Jeeps etc.

So how big is your radiator? What size is the fan?

Thanks!!!
