Haha, Nope Sunday isn't the day....... but.... Today I finished blocking out the whole car in 600 grit, wiped all the dust down with a wet rag, man o man is she smooth! Need to order a gallon of White epoxy sealer.

Just ordered the white epoxy/sealer from Summit.

If you didn't break through to metal, you just need a light coat of sealer before paint.

Wow, I saw progress in person. It's turning out as smooth and straight as I've ever seen! Can't wait to see & hear it complete. Look out Demon, front wheel lift off competition!

My car was blocked one last time in #800 wet, ready for white sealer...a gallon just arrived. Just got to set aside the time to spray the sealer now. While waiting on the white sealer to arrive I had the black base coat here already....so I thought what the heck lets blast some black. 3 coats of black base, next it will get 3 coats of a flattening clear.

1 week and all you got done was black on the hood.:poke::lol: Don't see any black on the fenders.

Front bumper weighs 4.05 lbs, rear bumper is 4.70 lbs.

They are nice, but they had some jel coat issues too. Spots needed filling and smoothing. Oh well.

Fabbing/welding up bumper brackets. 1" carriage bolts attach the "c" metal to the bumper. One more flat plate to be welded in the center. Next to make the adjustable mount that will attach it to the car.

To maintain the right shape or fit, the 2" x 3/16" pieces need to be welded to the "c" metal while the "c" metal is bolted to the bumper, or at least tacked and finished off the bumper

Rear bumper brackets done, here is test fitting. The brackets are 3 way slotted for full adjustment, left/right, up/down, in/out. Anyone interested how I did the brackets just let me know and I will post all the pics. This rear bumper is now ready for paint!
