You should stop posting here and move these pictures into a new thread in the "Members resto" section.
It would be nice if the moderators could move this entire thread over there as so many pictures have been posted already (how about it?). Thanks....

I have the correct pie tin for the air cleaner and the correct exhaust tips, etc which I will do over the winter.

Click the blurred shot and you can hear it fire up

Just bought it in September

I wish the moderators would move this whole thread from Welcome Wagon (my bad)
and make it a stand-alone topic. There's lots more to come!

I can't believe how much you're getting down-and-dirty with this!

All the while your Dart is over here in #3 Mark's body shop (Hemi-Mark, Mark the painter
and Mark the other body shop guy.......try to keep up here).

Looks great!

Brother..... I was hoping to get you over to #3's to snap a few pictures of the Dart for me..... any chance?

Don't know.......never ran one......

My 383 one ran 11:00's and these are at least that fast.....

Just some history........My first Duster was this '74.....made out of a '70 in 1975 (ironic since the one I'm building now is a '70 made out of a '73 and they have all been painted by the same guy!)

This car had a roller-cammed 383 with a 4-speed and a Dana 60......leaf-link
rear suspension (anybody remember those?). ran 11.0's back in the day.

I'm currently trying to locate this car.....I sold it to a guy named Roger Green in Arkadelphia, Arkansas in 1977 if anybody has any info.............. :help:

Nice adaptation of Don Carlton's MOPAR MISSLE paint job!

Hey Denny; I'm just wondering if a Hemi will go into an "early" A body with an "AlterKtion" front end. I was gonna put a stroked 360 in a 65 Dart; but HEMI weighs heavy on my mind. What do ya think? Is it doable for the street?

.........and he was still racing it at the time.........

(I can't believe that was almost 30 years ago!)

By early do you mean 64-65?.....I dont know. If you mean 67 and up......absolutely! By using a set up like that you loose the steering drag link (uses a rack up front) and no more torsion bars......all kinds of room. Order up a set of TTi's B-E body headers.....no problem........

Hey Denny, who is this Duster Dave character you speak of?? I'm the real DusterDave!! :yawinkle:
I built and own a Hemi Duster too. It has a blown 528" Hemi. You might have seen it on TV on American Muscle Car or an episode of Mother's Car Show series, or driving around at the Mopar Nats a couple years back.
Some video of my Duster http://www.hemiduster.com/hemivideo.htm
I remember reading about your green Hemi Duster quite a few years back. You did an excellent job on it. One small criticism, though. You're missing out on a real thrill by not running these Hemi A-bodies down the 1/4 mile. Talk about an E-ticket!
I checked out that red Hemi Duster at the Nats couple years back. Real nice ride also! Mine was parked on the same side of the track as that one.

My younger brother Dave........It's not his web name......I just refer
to him by that name in any Mopar forums...........He has the limelight
446" wedge '72 Duster pictured in this thread..............

Its about 45 minutes south of Toledo, OH.
If your serious, PM me for a name and number.
Best I know of but be prepaired to spend the $$$

They've got stuff in there like a '65 Mustang convertible and a VW
Karmin Ghia that have been rebuilt from dust. Over two years already
and when done they will be all metal and museum ready.......
