I grabbed my portable “portatree pocket” for some hits while on a short break in the shop. I have the bigger final round practice tree but I bought this last year thinking I could hit a few in my shop then throw it in the duster for some hits in the lanes. I would recommend one of these to any footbrake or top bulb racer. I never had the chance to try it at the track last year so hopefully this year it pays off. I have mine set up at 1.055 the same as I have my delay box so I can adjust from there on good or lazy days.

You'll have to start hitting some of those big money practice tree racers, it's amazing how much some of them pay anymore.

We have a Facebook live group of local hitters with a kids group and adults and a very nice one at a nearby firehall put on by some friends. I can’t really get into them but I know it would help my racing. I may go spectate and bs to some friends at the one coming up.

Pardon my lack of knowledge on the subject, I'm just an old school racer who foot braked it for many, many years before giving in to a trans brake last season. I hear a lot about top bulb, bottom bulb... what does that mean?

Top bulb is when using a delay box. We set a delay and when the top bulb flashes we leave go of the button and the delay set holds the car til the third yellow comes on.

footbrake and non delay box cars wait till the third yellow light come on to make their move. No delay box allowed in this class. But there are adjustable buttons with long throws that put a small delay for fast reacting cars.

Thank you for indulging me! Appreciate the info, I kind of thought that was the deal, but wasn't sure.

Darn John, how many greens do your trees have? :wtf:

If you wait on green here you're late. :steering:
