AC to Non AC heater

We have a 73 Dart sport, with AC. We wanted to go with a non AC setup from a 72 Duster. The firewall had to be changed to accomodate the Non ACD box. We are also installing the 72 dash, since the cable operated controls are "smaller" than the AC controls in the 73 Dash.

Here's a few in process picts. need to final weld and put a few smaller patches on the AC holes....

That's alot of work! This is how I solved my A/C to non-A/C set-up:

First I mounted my non-A/C heater box to see where I needed to cover up the huge opening....

Then I whipped up a new blower motor surround trim.

Here it looks OK without the engine in there.

With the engine in you hardly notice the bigger surround on the blower motor.

I'm not sure about your's due to the year. But the heater core tubes are in a diff. place too. Not too much work when its all apart. only labor...and my time is free...
