looks like the day has finally come and all of the hard work, perspiration and dreams of what the paint will look like have finally come to fruition! Some early shots of the car with some base color shot on. More to come! Ben

base coat laid down and final clear coats.....some scuff and buff and we'll almost be to the top of the hill! Still a lot of little parts to refinish but the main body is well on its' way to completion. Ben.

Ben! The car looks awsome. I was not a fan of the color combo, but you have changed my mind. Looks great together. Now get that thing together!!!

Thanks for the compliments guys!! I really believe this color combination is going to look sharp once all of the chrome, glass, wheels etc. are added and there is that extra 'pop' that will help pull it all together!Ben.

while I can appreciate all of you who paint the bottom of your car, I've decided since I'm going to pretty much 'drive the wheels' off of this car, I have chosen to use a product called 'Body Schutz', which is a very hard textured undercoating product. Should keep the bottom of the car sealed against future corrosion and really sets off all of zinc fuel and brake lines, fuel tank and straps and exhaust. Ben.

This Dart is amazing! your fabrication right down to your bodywork/paint and all those little details..you really did an outsanding job :thumrigh:

well it looks like a 100 degree afternoon and a lot of thirsty mosquitoes have cut short my desire to have the car on the ground today! But I was able to get the rear leaf springs and differential mounted into the car! Ben

Pictures didnt pull up right away. Great job what did you use on underside want mine to look like that and it is still awaiting the undercoating.

thanks guys! The 'Body Schutz' is a 3M product part no. 08864. I got it from my local auto paint store. Must use an applicator gun, although I believe it is also available in a spray can. It's a rubberized undercoat, which when hard will remove the 'hide' from your arm if you brush up against it hard enough! I've also used it on inner floor pans as a sound deadener and sealer. Ben

Thats looking good! I'd imagine you're pretty excited to get all the new shiny parts bolted on that freshly painted beauty. The two tone green is really diffrent and looks amazing. As usual, great work so far keep it rollin!

VERY NICE! The color reminds me of my 69 Swinger 340 that I have been trying to find for 30 plus years!

The stripe really sets off the body and roof.......have been thinking about putting one on mine, but not sure what color......match the roof color? or a more traditional looking white or black?......or just leave it off all together? Ben.
