So, this thread.........

HEY RUSTY look what Dell dragged home LOL "mini white whale II"

Bear in mind this was early summer of 2018. So, MORE than a YEAR ago

Dragged home a V6 4x4 Deadkota, which I junked. At the time I did not want to put so much into it. Had cab / back window damage, damage to the lower rear of the cab behind the driver's door and the bed needed at least a one-side skin. He had hit something low, with a brush guard attached, and the mounting ears trashed the rad support, I think the bumper, and the rad and condenser. Plus, the engine was typical high mileage and in unknown condition.

Anyhow, the guy left his plates on it. In this state the seller keeps his plates. I called him, left messages, even called his work and left a message. Put the plates out front near the entrance to the carport and told him, "they are here come get them." At some point this year I finally tossed them. I'm sure they were expired, but he could have transferred them and renewed them, and save a few bucks on the plates.

SO TODAY late, here he comes asking about them

Kind the same thing here.
Guy I bought my car from was leaving the country for his job.
His wife wanted to keep the plates for some reason.
He sent me an email asking if I'd send them to him.
Sure, what ever.
Except when I went to send it, it was going to cost $75 to send it to the Czech Republic.
The plate is still in my garage.

The real question here is .... What did you tell him?

Well when I first went out there, he was parking in front of the so called driveway, I said, "hey, DON'T be parkin' there..........." and after he asked for his plates I just told him the truth......"I **** CANNED them. ".......and then added, ........"I'm pretty sure they were expired..........."

I don't even know what plates cost, maybe 20 bucks, but they probably have gone up. That is for the plates, not the registration. Not sure why he even remembered where I live.....he did not come here before that I know, I went to him and trailered it home.
