I'm looking into converting my '61 Lancer from an A904 automatic to factory three speed floor shifter system. (starting to look for parts)

Is there an existing link on such a conversion or has anyone here done it?

Thanks

The 60-62 cars use a floor mounted shifter that is unique to those cars only. If you're not going for original, find an A230 trans from a 70-up A or FMJ Body and use the corresponding shifter and floor hump. You'll be miles ahead oh the early stuff

I learned to shift on my moms 3sp duster while sitting in the middle of them on the bench seat. What baby seat??? It was so long ago, I cant even remember if it was a slant or a teen, I think I was 6 (74?)

Thanks, would that mean ditching the bench seat and installing buckets, too?
