360,home ported heads,1.88/1.60 valves.Ultra Street Beast(Crower) hyd. flat tappet,223/[email protected] short block.72 Dart,2800 stall/4:10's Ran 12.80's@108/09,ton of tire slippage at Sacramento.Would love to hear,similar combos.

not really all that fast but it was cheap.

68 318
untouched heads had 20 thousandths shaved off with heads assembled still
steel shim gaskets.
340 grind cam. .454 lift
eddy performer rpm intake
650 holly
home ported 318 manifolds with choke butterfly taken out and holes tapped and plugged.
2 1/2 in. duel exhaust dumped at the rear.
904 trans with transgo shift kit
3000 stall
3.55 gears
245-60-14 bfg tires.

car went 13.70 at 99mph was my daily driver. beat the living piss out of that engine for 3 yrsand it just kept going. had less than a $1500 in the whole engine. sold it for $1200 and my buddy put it in a dakota with a 150 shot and it went 12.90s for two seasons till it fried a piston.

Mild 360,KB flat top pistons9.9to1 comp,Small Ultradyne flat tappet cam,home ported J heads,small headers,performer RPM intake,750 DP,904 with 11" 2800 converter by PTC,3.91 gears,71 duster 3100lbs ,full exhaust system,11.80's @115mph. 8" PTC converter,4.30 gears 11.40's. Daily driven to work,kid to private school,etc. and race tracks as far as 100miles away.

Another that I like. 1996 360 magnum purchased from a salvage yard in 2000 for $350.00. Added unported Magnum R/T heads(paid 300.00 new with Rev stainless valves),mild Bullet hyd roller grind, upgraded valve springs, thin head gaskets, china RPM style intake,750dp,PTC 9.5" converter,3.73 8.8 rear in a 1989 Dakota, was my daily driver and even towed a car and motorcycle when I moved 700miles away. Sold it to a friend some years ago and he still daily drives it and races it around the area. Run's 12.20's on motor and 10.90's @123mph on a 150shot,has for 4yrs and never hurt a piston or head gasket. It weighs 3550lbs with the driver,I'd bet in a 3100lb abody with 4.10's and a looser converter it would pick up and run 11.50's without much trouble.

Put in 69 dart, got 3/4 of the way down track, sheared the left axle off and put the car in the wall. Slid through the traps raking the wall at 12.07 at 61 mph.
It was heartbreaking. It was in my friends car and I ended up with the motor now for my 65 dart.

Like that little Dakota! My brothers got an 03 R/T that's tricked out a little bit but we want to make it a ripper but our beautiful state of California sucks when you want to make some hp because of stupid *** smog!

I don't know how Dding a super charger is cheap or a full rebuild is cheap.

Lets keep it to bolt on's and a cam change only. Re-ring is exceptable as cheap if y did it yourself.

Gear, suspension etc... Changes and upgrades allowed.
How does that sound?

depending on gears and tires your combo if in an a-body should get you into the high 13s low 14s. more stall would help your combo.

W2 heads, aluminum rods and a roller cam arent really cheap parts.

Low buck is stock iron heads, cast pistons, flat tappet cam, tossed together for under 2K in my opinion.
