Big block cooling question

Do not forget your total timing and curve. Put on a shroud and seal it up! You are doing cross flow on the radiator which helps a little but I think is overrated. JMO. A good (clean) radiator and shroud makes a huge difference. Do not undersize the stat, you want the flow when needed.

BB A-bodies were only produced for 3 years follow that recipe for success.
